Hi

I recently bought a 2014 2.0 tdi 177 Allroad and I have to say that I am disappointed with the fuel consumption. If I drive at 70-75 mph on the motorway I am only getting about 40mpg so I am wondering if there is something wrong with my car or is that similar to what others are getting?

Cheers.

Hi

I do similar speeds and get 44-46 ish. Taking it steady on A roads it's up at 47-49 and I've seen 50+ once!

Mine is the 2010 170 engine with manual gearbox

I probably average 45-47mpg. I drive mostly on A roads so around 60mph and in efficiency mode (manual transmission), but switch to dynamic for bursts. On full to an empty tank I can squeeze 500 miles out of it. That's not bad considering it's running 4 wheel drive and is a quite a heavy car.

What's the mileage out of interest? Try putting some premium diesel in it and see if the efficiency improves. Fuel filter needs changed every 20k miles if it's not already been done. Will need primed via VCDS.

Mines a 2014 2.0 tdi 170 engine.
I have 35k on it now and have owned it since 23k i cant get anymore than 480 miles out of a tank and im mainly on m way and d carriageway to and from work. Premium expensive diesel made no difference at all mines an S tronic.

Loving the car though

If it makes you guys feel any better, I drive a 3ltr tdi s-Tronic and am averaging 27-30...!

My 177 is 34mpg average. New fuel filter made no difference. Lucky to get 400miles on a tank.
Just starting to clean the egr. The inlet blockage from the design is unbelivable. The throttle valve was not too dirty but. The egr pipe blocks the inlet and the downstream inlet housing is like a mud bath. Still to look at the egr valve, egr cooler and all that pipe work that’s runs through the cylinder head. It’s going to be a slow process to recover the mpg to new.

Mine is terrible. In city I get 26mpg, on motorway 37mpg no matter how I drive. Dissapointed with the car.

Hi All, new here. I've just purchased a 2015 A4 Black Edition Plus. It's the Quattro, S-Tronic 177 2.0 TDI with 70k on the clock.
So far not too impressed, in the first five days I travelled 200 miles a day on a mix of A roads and motorways, I averaged 42 mpg. After that first week I took it to Superchips for a remap on the rolling road.
1. The initial BHP recorded on the RR was 163.2 - Not happy.
2. The BHP post mapping was only 182bhp.
3. Post mapping, having now done 2000 miles on the same commute, i'm now only averaging 36-38mpg.

Can anyone who may have experienced something similar give me some tips on my obvious MPG issue?

On top of that, the car isn't all that comfy - Long legs and short arms mean an uncomfortable heel position unfortunately and the sat nav, well, I just use my phone :(

Did this make any difference?

I usually do 75mph and reliably get more 65mpg, I have a 2015 A4 Avant 2.0TDI 177hp front wheel drive!

Been talking about this on another post.
Has your car been recalled for a software update to put right the 'Fiddled Emissions'?
Audi Dealer can tell you.
If so, the performance will drop and mpg will have reduced.
A decent remap will sort everything out.
My colleagues car was ruined after his software update.
If anyone gets a letter about these updates, don't get it done!
Sorry to **** in your Pint, but it's very common., if that's the cause?
