Morning all,

As per title is anyone running the revo intake on their RS3 8V? if so what are your thoughts? any improvement in the sound, 90mm should help improve airflow to turbo so wondering if you can hear it sucking harder? ;)

also, if anyone wants to sell an intake let me know. Missed out on an 034 intake on eBay a few weeks ago, it went for £450!

Thanks

Little pic of the beaut after a deep clean over the weekend :) - any excuse for a pic

Not everyone is keen on the Catalunya but i love it!

I do like the Ara but it has to have black pack like yours. I had an S3 in sepang before the RS3, another lovely colour!

How’s the car performing? Been following your progress on instagram.

Got a tuning box going on mine this week and planning on an intake and downpipe in the near future.

Love the cataluna red with black pack mate looks great.
As for the intake I’ve read that the Audi one is probably the best one overall as it is designed and no doubt rigorously tested with these engines to give optimum performance. Can not imagine you will get any real gains aftermarket as the real gem for this is ecu modifications, could be wrong though.

If your going decats audi ones are cheaper and I believe Doc on here as a set for sale maybe worth slinging him a PM mate.

I had carbon revo intake. No sensitive variation is suction noise. I recommend you buy K & N kit HG + panel filter. Save a lot of money and get the same result. I've had both.

I only installed it yesterday and it was absolutely pouring down so I didnt have a chance to properly test it (i did try coming on to a dual carriageway way but the car was wheelspinning in 3rd), the intake is noticably wider and less restrictive so well worth the £ in my opinion, it will certainly improve airflow. I've couple this with a pipercross panel filter and also added a TDI-Tuning box, look forward to giving it a proper run this week.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on the tuning box

I think it does, that low down induction growl and high pitch sucking mid, well worth it. Im sure they all sound similar
