This is my first post on here guys, been snooping around for the past few weeks at everyone elses posts before posting, some nice cars on here!

So I have just ordered my Audi SQ5 back in January, this is my first Audi so looking forward to the experience.

Here is the spec I have went for.

SQ5

  • Audi Exclusive Colour - Will reveal when it arrives! ;)
  • 21" VSpoke Wheels
  • Panoramic Roof
  • Folding Mirrors
  • Flat Bottom Steering Wheel
  • Carbon Atlas Inlays
  • Red Brake Calipers
  • Light & Vision Pack
  • Tour Pack
  • Comfort & Sound Pack
  • Driver Assistance Pack
  • Parking Assistance Pack Advanced
  • Air Suspension
  • Wireless Charging
  • Storage Pack

+ Audi Front & Rear Dash Cam
+ Audi Sport Door Flood Light

Ordered on the 9th Jan with build week 13. Tracking says 26th March to begin construction, Delivery in June/July.

Booked in after collection to have the headliner, A pillars & steering wheel re-trimmed to alcantara, front windows further tint (to legal limit), detailers for full new car detail - ceramic coating etc.

Looking forward to delivery!

Noggy blue now that's special I've seen a sq5 in a really light baby blue which was exclusive
 
@RS4B5 Neither - I had planned on Riviera but I kind of had to listen to the sensible in me and think about how desirable that would be come the day i decide to sell on, plus felt it may start looking a bit tacky for the size of the car. As for Miami, stunning colour - would love that on a RS3 Saloon or something smaller.

Sounds nice, fingers crossed the delivery process is quicker than mine. I'm still waiting (6 months on).

Really - Whats the hold up? I have been told delivery could be late June for me now, but I can't pick up til late July - made them aware when I ordered if it comes sooner I wont be coming for it til when I say.

Yeah, ordered it on the 19/9/17. Estimated delivery date 21/1/18. It's apparently at the German port ready to ship... The car was built on the 23rd of December and shipped from Mexico on the 27th of Dec. The dealer is chasing it up today as he can't explain it.
 
@CC-SQ5 being up north, you’ll be swapping your 21s on summer rubber for 20s with winter tyres at some point ;)

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of discount/finance deal did you haggle from your stealer?

That would be killing me, have you given them some greif for it yet? My car isn't expected to begin construction til the 26th and I check it daily haha - bad habit and always gutted to see the same status haha.

Not really given them any grief yet, that'll come when I go and pay for it :whip:

The tracker is painful and I wish I hadn't started using it.

Wow, that is a big delay. I hope it gets delivered soon. What was the estimated delivery date on your order form?

Lol yeah deffos.

Is it just me that wishes the black optics pack was available in the UK, Available on the German configurator - seems the only option they are letting us down with.
I ended up phoning TPS to see if they could get the parts and they can, front grill alone in black is £570+Vat!

Today my order just went from Order Received straight to Paint shop woohoo!

Then tonight hit just hit assembly!

Anyone got any ideas how long from now until next stages?

Sounds like mines on the same run as yours, my build was meant to start today but actually started Thursday night.

My dealer has advised a min of 2 months from a completed build and typically 3!

Ah really? Mine has been at Quality Control for a few days now? I got a bit worried as I have advised my earlier I can't take delivery any earlier then July.

I think quality control is the actual build from what the dealer has said, that’s why it does all the other items in 24 hours - it’s definitely not aligned with reality. He said expect quality control for a couple of weeks then 2-3 months for delivery. I was advised 5th June delivery when I first ordered but I know there are further delays atm. I need it by July as we’re expecting our first child and being car-less and not living next to a hospital isn’t exactly ideal!

Yeah it seems thats about right as I have been on QC for 3 weeks now - And congratulations mate I am the same, just had my first 3 weeks ago so the new car was a "must" haha. Any excuse for a new car for us lads!

Absolutely, I even borrowed the biggest push-chair I could find to prove our old car wasn't going to be sufficient!

My dealer has informed me my car is now at Status 30 and has left the factory! Audi online tracker has no movement though and still on QC.

If I am correct it left Veracruz on the 9th of May, and moored in Emden on the 30th - so it is either still sitting on the VIKING CONQUEST vehicle carrier at port or on way to the factory to be checked etc.
Dealership estimating mid July for delivery.

@CC-SQ5 Any movement on yours? Ours has been at Emden for 3 weeks.
Has your dealer given any indication other than ‘mid July’?
Apparently there’s a backlog of vehicles waiting to be shipped over.

Yup, SQ5. Ordered early Feb. Estimated delivery late May/early June.
Spec:
Both packs
Pano
21’s
Folding mirrors
Air suspension
Audi pre-sense rear
Red calipers

Mrs isn’t super happy with the colour but couldn’t justify ‘exclusive’.
Plus it took us 18 months to decide on the SQ5, so we’d probably still be ‘discussing’ which colour to go for even now.

Nope none at all I was beginning to think I may have tracked the wrong ship as I'm still on status 30. But yeah 2 weeks at emden if correct now. And no my dealer seems to know less than me as I'm the one updating them it seems lol.

I probably won't pick my car up til end of July anyways maybe sooner if it does arrive!

I've lost the buzz a little since I'm 6 months into the wait...

Mrs has almost exclusive use of V40 D2. Sold the Guilietta about a month ago, so I’ve had to borrow my mum’s Jazz!! Such a performance vehicle with all of its 102 ponies ;)
