is it an old ipod then ?
If so ... get a new ipod lol - you've just spent all that on a new car, so you can get a new ipod
Oterwise ... have you checked you are using the correct cable ?
I had this with my S5 - the cable that came with the car did not work, so I needed a different one.
Dealer sent me the correct one in the post.
Maybe speak to the Dealer
I have an old iPod Classic with thousands of songs 50,000 I think. It worked in 66 plate 17MY A4 AND 16 PLATE RS3. I also have a slightly more modern iPod touch. Neither work in MY18 RS4 and the best Audi can suggest is 'talk to apple' and apple suggest it's Audi. Why should I pay £400 for a new iPod. Grrrrr.is it an old ipod then ?

Well, I have done about 50 miles this morning and first impressions are great. Audi breakfast was quite good too.
Well, the car, it does seem to attract a fair bit of attention, not sure if it's the new 18 plate or the car. It is super comfortable and I love the heated massage seats which will save me a fortune. As @Addict has said it doesn't seem like a big car and that's coming from someone who had a B9 Avant as well as an RS3 until recently.The performance seems pretty good but haven't really pushed her yet and the exhaust note 'OK' In Dynamic setting the exhaust does rumble a bit but it's on a par with a FL RS3 exhaust rather then the pre FL I had. Maybe the soundtrack is more appropriate to a grown up car. My main gripe at present is the iPod issue mentioned above. Why the hell should I pay £400 for a new iPod when the 2 I have function perfectly in other vehicles. Come on Audi there has to be a fix here surely? Would I have spec'd the car differently? Not sure yet. Maybe the Sports exhaust but that doesn't actually sound that great either, maybe DRC.. not sure I need it as ride seems quite smooth.. So far pretty happy with her... more anon. I've got an ipod touch which lives in my car - other than when I go on holiday and then take it out.
Like you - I find this works perfectly.
VERY strange that your 'touch' at least doesn't work so I think it must be a cable issue.
Maybe ring Audi UK and see if you can get any help.
Unfortunately this is one of the potential issues with being one of the early adopters - you get the niggles that need ironing out.
Car sounds superb otherwise

My iPhone works via CarPlay plugged in to front USB. This will play music from iPhone 6.
My iPod ( old version) and iPod touch (also fairly old) which worked in previous Audis 2017/2016. B9 and RS3 doesn’t work at all. I want it plugged in to USB under centre armrest but MMI suggests it is not compatible. Bit frustrating to say the least. Any ideas?
2 months and it will be yours. What spec have you gone for and when did you order.. loving mine !

Brexit isn't happening now. Yippee.... Car is absolutely awesome, not quite as chuck-able as the old RS3 but pretty good. Buying a new iPod is easy but why should I have to. There has to be a fix!
She had a little tickle this morning @Thundercliffe81 , acceleration is just awesome and so smooth, much smoother than the RS3 with STronic. Must go and set the speed warning pinger as the power is just amazing. Looking forward to hearing @Addict and the 550PS option. Fuel, well who's worried about fuel unless they have to save up to buy a new iPod.

Nice spec... storage pack is always a good one, you may be able to get it if you are quick! I am pleasantly surprised with standard exhaust for now but at least I have saved £1200 towards a proper noisy one if I want to.
