What have you done to your 8V today?

Cleaned the car and even used some wax on it... (it's a 1st!)

But then I've since had to go outside twice to wipe bird crap off the roof and bonnet! It's very rare I have "issues" on my driveway, clearly they didn't like the smell of the wax.

Rant over.... :)

Spent loads of time today on the car, managed to give both my S3 and my Dads A3 a long overdue wash. Also got round to fitting my RS3 alu wing mirrors I got on eBay for £150 brand new, think it looks so much better than the standard black edition caps. Also had chance to install my red RS3 air vents I got the other day :icon thumright:

Surely thats the kind of driving that the other post on this forum was talking about? re: the uploading of dash cam videos on a police site and reporting it. Hope someone has watched the video, identified the number plate and sent it to the police anyway.

Jesus, thought he'd lost it at the end!

And I don't think anyone would be disputing this isn't dangerous and should be reported =)

Ill try to dig up the thread but in it, many disagreed with reporting dash cam videos.
I remember reading through that thread and there were some interesting comments and views, but there is no question if the police caught those individuals in the above video they should have the book thrown at them and their drivers licence ripped up.

Ordered this today...will update in a couple of weeks once it arrives and have fitted.

Should tie in nice with the RS3 grill I have up front...then possibly a splitter to finish the body off.

If I was to buy an intake that’s the one I would purchase. But at £700 plus if I recall rightly don’t think it will be anytime soon ...

It’s the best Quality Intake out for the S3 but yea it’s pricey but I got a good deal on Black Friday.

Installed one of @DJAlix stop start modules today. Very simple procedure:

Remove switches using radio removal keys:

Peel back insulating tape to reveal wires on the connector block:

Connect in module using supplied connectors:

Re-wrap back up in insulating tape, carefully feed wire loom back through the hole behind the switches, push switches back in, done!

The module remembers the setting you select for stop start so you don't have to keep remembering to turn it off each time. Brilliant bit of kit, highly recommend.

Took it for a ride, gearbox acted weird as if I was in a too high gear even though I was in second, switched to third and it just lost power when pressing the pedal down. Pulled over and did an obd fault scan on location, nothing... And now I’m sitting here with an engine light and waiting for Audi Mobility Service in the rain because the car won’t start.

The first truck they send was the version where the rear wheels would still be on the ground, told the truck driver the car was 4 wheel driven and another truck has been send now. Don’t know if a S3 can be transported with the rears on the ground? But better safe than sorry.
