Thought I’d put some pics up of my current car, even if it is a bit of a heap :whistle2: mainly had VW’s in the past. Had a 225 mk1 TT which the missus now drives, couldn’t put up with the hairdresser jokes  so after she had the TT I bought an immaculate, low mileage mk4 golf 2.8 v6 4motion, always wanted one (for some reason :yum:) the Friday I bought it I fitted R32 seats, 18’s and a couple of other bits, then on the Sunday it was written off - rear ended by a van at 60mph as we were waiting at traffic lights :blownose:

This left me looking for a car quickly which resulted in me buying this A4. Came up at the right price and had the Votex kit I liked. Unfortunately it’s not a Quattro, or Avant, or black which is what I was ideally looking for

Bought it standard, promised myself
It would stay that way but it so :whistle2:

- KW V1 coilovers
- S4 door blades
- Genuine 19”x9” RS4 alloys
- B8 S4 front brakes and braided lines all round
- Black S4 headliner
- RS4 carbon fibre optics
- B7 S line seats
- MOMO 300 team wheel
- Powerflex snub mount + arb bushes

I have a 3” decat and downpipe waiting to go on but need to buy the rest of the exhaust system yet. Then remap is on the cards, FMIC, looking to paint the wheels and door blades gloss black, red tint the rear lights and I think that should be ‘done’ :racer:

This is after the coilovers were fitted, need to get and lower the front to even it out

A B6? Gearbox, rear subframe and diff all bolt on, only needs a couple of holes drilled and tapped for the propshaft centre bearing carrier if you want quattro

That’s interesting. Is the suspension set up the same, I guess the quattro set up spring rates would be different? Oh I knew this was a bad idea signing up to this forum :tearsofjoy:

Lovely b6 dude... That MK2 though! !!!

that's a gorgeous b6 mate and in love with the mk2 .always wanted to build an 1.8t mk2 or vr6 .

It’s all bolt on , time lapse conversion ^

Quattro is far better than Forward in a Wayward Direction FWD.

Thanks! Was a really fun little car, took me about 4 years to build though :tearsofjoy:

The VR6 noise is so addictive! I was luckily able to buy back my 4mo from the insurance company, currently fitting the engine into another mk4 shell and going to use it for track days :racer: the only picture I have of the V6 before it was written off and the new shell

Always had a soft spot for the 4motion 2.8 myself too.. god knows why!! Billy bargains to be had and a nice engine note probably go toward the reason .

Been considering MK1 TT's again in 3.2 guise just for the noise...

I just bought a complete rear end last night
Sub frame, diff, drive shafts, all arms, arb, hubs, calipers, even the discs and pads.
Was £90 which I think is a bargain
Gonna shot blast and powder coat it all fit poly bushes and check diff is ok then replace whole lot together.
So my one will be up for grabs after

Is this a 1.8t 190 dude?

If so.. curious how you compare it drive wise to the TT (obviously very different, but I've always toyed with jumping from my quattro 1.8t 190 to a 225/3.2 TT)

Unfortunately not bud it’s only the 163bhp none Quattro :smirk: the TT just has a completely different feel to it, the 225 has been remapped which wipes the floor against the V6 TT’s, how ever if given the choice I’d go for the 3.2 TT. The noise of those engines wins every time

Another pic from today and a bit more snow

Downloaded some picture editor on my phone so thought I’d try it, car hasn’t been washed in about 6 months :whistle2: currently looking into local companies to refurb my alloys gloss black :icon thumright: front still needs to come down a touch more and space the rear wheels out 5/8mm

Been looking at A5 coupes a lot lately, really tempted by either the 2.0T Quattro or 3.2 Quattro and then break this if anyone is interested in any parts let me know. Just testing the water at the moment :whistle2:

Get the quattro conversion done and fit the FMIC you have along with bigger injectors and finally a K04? and a remap, Then decide if you want to break it....

So still have the B6, sold the RS4 alloys, then decided I’m going to keep it :whistle2: plans are to do B7 front end conversion. Should be collecting a B7 front end this week, nice wheels, wind the coilovers down more, and look at getting her wrapped, more power needed and hopefully get to some shows next year.

In the mean time here is a pic of her replacement, 2.0t S line, completely standard when I bought her. Done a few bits :icon thumright:

So managed to find a set of wheels for the B6 I have always wanted, 19x9J et33 .... just need a refurb in silver. 4mm less aggressive poke then the RS4 alloys I was running. As this isn’t going to be a daily I’m looking at 215 35 tyres and winding the coillies right down, maybe spacing and camber out the rears slightly :icon thumright:

Sent off my gear knob and handbrake cover to be retrimmed in perforated leather to match my steering wheel as they were both quite worn

215's on a nine inch rim, that's going to be a stretch. I had 225's on a 8 1/2 inch rim and it was horrible.
The rim protection on the tyre just didn't sit anywhere near.

Ran 225 35s on the 9” RS4 alloys and they were fine, like I said it’s not going to be a daily so I’m not too bothered about ride comfort

Got the handbrake cover back today, really pleased with the quality of the retrim! Matches the MOMO steering wheel perfectly so that’s good! Might look at getting the gear gaiter and arm rest done the same but with yellow stitch... or black stitch  I was toying with the idea of painting the dash trim Imola yellow, yellow seat belts/harnesses if I decide to go for bucket seats, the MOMO logo on the steering wheel is yellow and so are the brake calipers so it should all tie in. Or do I play it safe and keep it all black :rockwoot:

Got the old headunit out and the new head unit in, not wired up tho as the ‘Audi B6’ wire harness adapter I bought doesn’t seem to have enough connector blocks? Never been any good with audio stuff. Will get some pic tomorrow and start a thread for some help with it

Cheers dude! I don’t think I have owned a car I haven’t modified  my fiancée and I are currently renovating our first house so money is a bit tight for car parts at the moment. Hopefully should be finished for Christmas so the update on this will be coming thick and fast :tearsofjoy:

Nice Work Dude.

Nice to know a fellow B6'er still alive and modding haha

I forgot I had a build thread on here, B6 still hasn’t seen the road this year. I was hoping to have her sorted for show season but you all know how it goes :whistle2: I have always loved the idea of a rat look car with a show car interior. Seeing as the body work on my B6 is scratched and dented to hell I thought let’s do it! So I ordered some ‘rusty paint’ and put a deposit down on this stunning interior, some of you may recognise it as Jamies ‘the ****’ B6. He has decided to break it which is a real shame as it was probably my favourite B6 out there but I’m really excited to pick the carbon, RS4 wheel and seats up this week!

And how mine is sitting at the moment, FMIC fitted, bonnet, bumpers and wings painted. Need to wait for the rain to stop so I can crack on with the rest! I understand this is going to completely divide opinions and people will probably hate it but life is too short to drive boring cars :tonguewink:
