Washed. Decontaminated with IronX. Washed. De-tarred with Tarex. Washed. Machine waxed with Collinite 476. Wheels decontaminated (unbelievable )& de-tarred. Washed. The car is three months old next week with 4600 miles. I'm NEVER having another white car.

I'm holding off cleaning mine for a bit yet. Daytona grey does hide a lot mind you.

Had a cracking drive out to Airton in Skipton for farm shop breakfast

Tried but failed to clean the exhaust tips! Serves me right for not doing them for 4 months!! More successful with cleaning the interior!

Thundercliffe81 - that's my part of the world; which farm shop?

I tried cleaning my exhaust tips today and it was mostly successful, using autosol (which i got off amazon).

Also my 4 year old was sick all over the back of the car (2 month old S4) and spilled a can of diet coke on the front carpet.

Otherwise an uneventful drive in the Peak District.

I reversed into a wooden fence, completely ignored the sensors whilst talking to the Mrs.

I've not looked yet to see if there's any damage.

Cleaned the inside, snow foam and jet down... Couldn't be bothered to wash it fully and paired my new phone to the car.....


Then had to do the same to the wifes car

How often do people wash their cars, especially in the winter? I had great intentions when I bought the car but I just can’t find the time in the day with young kids and work.

Hoovered the boot out yesterday though! (And went to Tesco)

Before kids pretty much every weekend, since... never! Currently I take both ours to the local hand-wash about every other weekend.

This will change with the new car though. I’m not letting the hand-wash monkeys anywhere near it!

I ceramic coated mine when I bought it so not that much over winter. About every 45 days or so. I do a lot of driving over the hills so aesthetically, it's pointless.

The coating makes it much easier to clean when I do.

I’m getting mine done to when it arrives. Plan is to just hit it with the foam cannon then rinse and dry. Maybe a little quick detailer or the like if I have the time.

Doesn't need much more bud. The less 'hands on' the better over this period.

my last 2 cars have been black (both mythos black :)) I would also disagree .. black for me has been the easiest to keep clean if you use the right products in the first place.. (dodo hybrid ceramic wax) a quick wash and dry and its back to looking gorgeous :)

The problem I found with dark cars is you have to be so careful not to scratch them either washing or in day to day life.

Scratches and swirls on white are invisible and you don’t get drying marks.

The flip side is dark cars look best when clean, you can spend all day waxing a white car and no one ever notices.

My A4 is 12,000 miles away and I’m missing it terribly, driving a Ford Ecosport hire car instead. I’d like to think my A4 is missing me too as it has stood idle for a month on the driveway.

Triumph open night. Fortunately I managed to keep my hands on my pockets. Some lovely new stuff but I can't justify changing my 2007 Tiger with less than 12k on the clocks. I just don't do enough miles. Does anyone else ride?

Now that would be an interesting open night. Although no longer a biker I certainly was in the past but my pleasure was a Norton Dominator which I restored from scratch in the 70's..
 
I drove 500 miles back from a trip to Englandshire (Aberdeenshire to Hungerford/Oxford). At this time of year I tend to wash it when the wheels start looking manky, they're the only bit that seems to change after the first few days. The bodywork (Daytona Grey) just seems to look "lived in" from about 2 or 3 days after a wash and doesn't get much worse.

I have very low standards though :)

I washed mine but it was far too cold to wax and dry it and the ends of my fingers went white and numb...

No special treatment. Just a good wash and a coat of Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax and a light coat of Sonax Xtreme Brilliant Shine Detailer. Both very good when used properly. Water beads off like crazy.

Mythos Black is a very easy colour to keep looking good. Also Daytona but that's a bit Grey isn't it !
What is it with all these new Audis coming with Hancook tyres??? Thank goodness my RS has arrived with Continentals!
 
Nothing. We have a couple of inches of snow so taking wifey's Panda 4x4!

Daytona Grey is a tad darker than we would have liked, but agree its good for road grime camouflage.
Audi races in 'DTM', and I believe they have a mandatory option of Hankook tyres.
The demo car we tested had Hankooks. Fortunately, ours was fitted with P Zeros, and am not fussed. Normally swerve anything with a French Connection, but will consider MSPS next.

Yep, us too so left the A4 at home and took my partners Fiesta, got to school though and it had closed so back home. Have enough supplies to last the week so not anticipating going out again..

Drove 20 miles to the coast for an early meeting, thought I'd miss the worst of the snow. Instead: All the snow!

Abandoned the meeting and closed the site after 90 mins as the main roads north and south shut, managed to get the long way back via the only route left, and decided to work from home. The car performed great, no control issues at all and as it was quieter it was no problem keeping plenty braking distance. I hope I can get two winters out of these tyres, they've been brilliant.

The wind-blown whiteouts were far more trouble than snow underfoot today, as long as people slow down they should be fine. Tomorrow might be a different matter though if it's icier, watching the reports closely...
 
I took mine out today for the first time this week, as I've been using the fiesta to take my partner to work. No drama's with bith cars, the fiesta was fun in the snow though...
