yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Hi, I’m most likely going to get my car delivered however my car is from VWFS and still waiting for documents to go through before I can arrange delivery for 1st March. If I get my car trailered would it be free or would I have to pay? Anyone have an idea of delivery from VWFS?

I’m 90% sure you will have to pay to have it trailered

Can you not pick it up? I’m getting the train down for mine, going to get some lunch out, make a day of it lol

I did first want to pick my car up. however my car has moved from Audi Hatfield, to VWFS in Milton Keynes, as I wanted it on 1st March so can not get a proper handover unfortunately as no were to arrange. Could collect it from outside probably however do think it deserves a better collection than that so rather get a transport delivery which I’m going to try and get for free hopefully but I doubt it.:sulkiness:

Just got a build date, 14th May.

Gotta say, props to Stoke Audi. They told me before I ordered to expect deliver early June, and judging by that build date, that was pretty bang on. They made the ordering process really easy, only took 5 minutes over the phone and then just one signature on a form to scan back to them. They have kept me updated (they emailed me this morning with the build date update) without having to hassle them for anything. Provided me with the order number without me having to ask for it, so on and so forth. Certainly better than the SEAT dealer I am currently dealing with (I have a '64 plate Leon Cupra). The SEAT Leicester dealer are absolute shysters. For example charging me for a full service but actually only doing an oil swap, then pretending otherwise and pretending to be the mechanic on the phone when I asked to speak to him to find out what they actually did. Seriously never ever buy a SEAT from the Leicester dealer, avoid them at all costs if you can. They can and will nickel and dime you and treat you as badly as possible. The car itself has been good with no issues, to be fair.

Anyone driven the 2.0 Tfsi 190 yet?
I have. Shockingly smooth and refined, especially compared to my old B7 2.0 tfsi, but, I do find I spend a lot of time trying to avoid potholes though as it sounds (and feels) horrendous when you get one (19" wheels and stock Sport suspension), but you might get a bit of a smoother ride with 18" wheels.

You need to be a bit gentle with the fast peddle from standing though, especially in the wet.

Thanks I’ve got the black 18 inches so should be a little better on bumps:friendly wink:

Just done a nearly 500 miles on the motorway and when you come off the smooth tarmac the road noise is terrible on 19s. M62 and m18 very bad in places

My status is now: Delivered :D Collecting in a couple of weeks.

What was your build week? mine was build week 6, I was hoping for the 2nd March collection date. My car’s status is “has left Ingolstadt” it’s been that for a week now it must be waiting for a ship!

It takes best part of a week to get from Ingolstadt to Emden...

Do they pash the cars along the autobahn?
I still have 2 weeks for a March delivery hopefully it will be on time.

Ordered mine today!

Dealer has suggested it’ll take 10-12 weeks so hoping for a wk 17-18 delivery.

I’ve already made enquiries today about booking it in for a gtechniq protection detail... the long wait begins.

Mine are Continental's and I have to say the quietness on all roads is really impressive.

How firm do you find the Sports suspension ? I am coming with a Leon Cupra with adapative suspension that I have in comfort mode almost permanently riding on 19" rims, and am moving to the A4 S-Line with Sport suspension on 18" rims. I am hoping that A4 is softer and more comfortable, but I suspect that may not be the case unfortunately. VAG use a lot of the same parts across the line so it would not surprise me if the adaptive suspension in my Cupra is by and the large the same setup you can get on the A4 as an optional extra.

Not necessarily the same, there is a video of a Mat Watson driving an A4 with various development engineers from Audi where he questions them. One of them clearly states that the UK version is setup for our roads.
Having said that the sport suspension is firm, as you'd expect, but any potholes are not jarring and well suppressed from the cockpit..

I'm happy with it and think it's got better than on my previous A4, though unlike cuke2u, I do find potholes a nasty and noisy experience and avoid them where I can. Also, with the A4 being bigger than the Cupra, I'd expect the ride to feel better anyway.

Problem is potholes are getting bigger while sidewalls are getting thinner. Having said that, 40 profile out of 245 is not too bad I guess.

Sounds fairly hopeful then. I like to drive at a fair lick some of the time, so I think if I went to the comfort suspension i'd find it too soft for the corners.

I am not too concerned about potholes, there actually aren't many on my usual routes.

Have you guys seen Bose suspension ? Now that looks cool ! (apparently way too heavy and expensive to make it into a production car, unfortunately).

Finally my car will be transported for free on the 2nd March. Who else have got theirs on the 2nd?:yahoo:

Great news! Still on for a 13:00 pick up on the 1st. Only waiting for the tracker to confirm the car has arrived with the dealer and I’m all sorted.

Erm... seems I got the wrong end of the stick! Build week has just been confirmed as wk19, so 2nd week of May. Dealer is anticipating delivery for end of May (if lucky) or early June (more likely).

Out of interest, anyone know how long it actually takes to build the B9?

The time taken from when the build on my car started to when it passed through quality control was about a week.

Any ideas how long to wait when build starts 12th March?

My build has been confirmed as wk 19, so w/c 7th May and my dealer is saying delivery end of May (if lucky) or early June (more likely). Based on this maybe mid to late April for you. Bare in mind though March is a busy month for dealers so it might be a bit longer.

Cheers for the info hopefully here in April then
