Very. Got lucky I guess. dealer said weeks ago (before it stared prep) that it’s due in for collection week starting 29th. So seem to be sticking to that timeframe. I’m 99% sure it’s on that boat as status 39 and the only other boat from emden to Tyne is City of Barcelona and that hasn’t arrived at emden yet! I’m sure yours will be on Makassar!
Well I’ve just checked and my car is still sat on the port and the makassar is almost at sheerness. So more of a wait for it to come. I’m getting inpatient now lol
Something has gone very wrong with the tracker, my A3 has been in QC for the last 7 days yet after a phone call to Audi customer service my car is still in paint.
My A3 Saloon has been in QC for a week now, the JSON data is showing it at stage 20 which is preparation. I called the dealer and he couldn't provide me with any insight.
Debatable, I’ve been unable to track my order since ordered start of December, and I’m still waiting for them to fix it, CS have so far been useless
Been fine with me, told me where my car is in the production stage, and an estimated ETA of 26th of Feb, which is fine with me as I don't want it until March.
Mines finally updated to in transit (status 30) guess I can't complain as the original build date was 15th January and its already on its way.
Are you going by the tracker, my car also has a build date of the 15th and it's still in production after a phone call to Audi customer services.

Check your JSON - that’s like my car which is now showing status 38 (only on JSON) which means released to shipping. As to where exactly your car is shipped - no idea. I’d suggest do a Google search. All VW group cars come through Emden so it shouldn’t be hard to find someone who has answered the question before.
As for my car....Anyone here know when the next boat from Emden to Sheerness is? There were two that left Emden yesterday and arrived today but no indication of when they next one will be.

Spoke to customer service online and they confirmed car was assigned to a ship yesterday on route to Grimsby..
Quick check with MarineTraffic and makasar Highway left Emden for Grimsby yesterday and is now moored at Grimsby port!! Fingers crossed we’re on it

I think your on it. Im not as I am going to sheerness. And @Phil3 is probably too soon after his car arriving at the port to be on the boat. But I could be wrong - if any of our cars are on the boat then the status should change to 39 tonight. If it doesn't then the car isn't on its way!
On the JSON, I presumed the changes were automatic and they are, but out of interest how can I be on a status 20 even though it’s saying I’m now on 22 (appreciate this is automatically changed regardless of current stats as it states 00:00) - manual entries have timestamps such as 18:00), would this likely mean the tracker is actually inaccurate and hasn't begunproduction?

Done a drop off at sheerness, maybe you where on it..hopefully we’ll get confirmation soon that cars are in the uk...
Definitely don’t think the tracker is updated daily as it’s been running around 2days behind with all my statuses.. contact customer services online for a more accurate update
Ring Audi customer services, my tracker was broken like yours and the two order status did not match up, My tracker said the car was in QC but the build had not even started, it was about a week behind.

I'm in love with the S3 and I've gotten to grips with all the on-board tech now. Worryingly though, I've already racked up over 3K of my 15K mile allowance in less than 2 months. Same here, A4 ordered on 4th December but I have been unable to track it. Customer Service have told me to try entering VWFS as I'm getting it on PCP but that doesn't work either. I'd normally tweet about something like this as that usually works but I don't want to highlight the fact that I'm getting a new car to my Twitter followers.
My S3 went to status 39 yesterday morning and I tracked it on the makassar highway which arrive 5pm yesterday, so it’s now a case of the transporter and PDI at the dealers, it’s getting very close now.
I ordered mine on the 3rd, but it wasn’t processed until 4th, also on PCP. I complained on Twitter, but all they did was get my case manager to call me and tell me there was no update, but that my car was now built

. I'm not even at 1k yet . I only work a couple of miles away and weekends have been busy, so haven't really done much driving. I'm loving it though. Really pleased with it. Puts a big smile on my face when I walk to it in the car park.I'm still noticing little things - like the all-weather lights coming on when reversing (don't know why they do that though) and when cornering.
I've been told by the dealer and Audi CS that the car is due to be built wb 29th January, what car have you ordered as it could be that mine has been built too?
Also got WC 29th, however I'm aware they're meant to paint/panel etc on this week for assembly on 29th? Either way, mine hasn't moved from status 20 even though the tracker says otherwise...

The cars are built ON the date that you get. Not early EVER. The only time that the dates changes is before it is confirmed (which is status 20).
The tracker auto updates 22,23 and 24. It starts doing this the Thursday BEFORE your build week. It is not however correct. The tracker catches up with reality when the car leaves the factory.
Just to be clear as excited as everyone is the car NEVER gets built early. And the tracker is automatic and in accurate at the start of the build process.
As for my car - my RS3 is at Emden waiting for a boat to the UK so at status 38.

My S3 was due for build commencing 29th Jan. The current tracker status is 23 awaiting assembly. Has been progressing through since Wednesday this week, so looks like it’s on track.
My tracker said something similar, then it was stick in QC for 7 days, phoned Audi CS and it was only in paint. It did not start working correctly until it left the factory.
Mine also seems to be sitting in Assembly for 29th, does your JSON say Status 23 though? - Still on 20.
Good to note, didn't imagine it to be totally 100% accurate but probably should have some sort of realistic 1-2 tracking instead of spitting out random stages of build based on the start date haha...

Ive checked JSON and it has updates but the overall order status is “20” does this mean it has not actually progressed?

Correct, that is what my tracker was saying, it was moving forward but order status was at "orderStatus":"20" at the point it had spend 5 days in QC I phoned Audi CS and they told me it was in paint. Once it left the factory the tracker was working again.
My wifes car is currently at Emden but City of Sunderland has just left for Port of Tyne so hopefully it will be on that.

Difficult one, my wife's car is on the boat at the moment, so will be in the UK next week and I'm sure could be ready for the week of the 5th, however the Mrs has already got a 67 plate so not much point in getting the same plate so we are going to put it off a few weeks. We are buying so it makes sense for myself to get an 18 plate, however as you leasing it make no difference as your payments are fixed and you hand back the car in the next 2 years.
