Someone has just drove into the side of my car at speed spinning it around and into a bush leaving me and my wife in agony with whiplash and my car in bits and just kept driving didnt even stop to see his damages, police notified, sky insurance notified, footage on my dashcam shows what happened but hard to see his reg plate due to his headlights fading it out, just gutted my A3 is my pride and joy ive just finished paying off the finance this month to :(

So sorry to hear this. Hope you and the wife are ok.

Sorry to hear your bad news, i know it was your pride & joy but at the end of the day it's just metal & can be replaced, you say you & yours are in agony, i assume it's cuts & bruises but could have been much worse, where abouts did it happen ? were the any cctv cameras around.

Oh mate thats really bad, i hope you and your wife are ok .

Good to hear that you are OK, Metal is a lot easier to fix than skin and bones.
Where abouts did it happen, do you know the make model and colour of the other car. Maybe people in that area could keep an eye out for it, sounds like it would be quite damaged.

Thanks all, some brusies and whiplash are our injuries, very lucky tbh, i know ive just been talking to the wife saying as long as we're ok and thats what you pay insurance for, just annoying how he didnt stop thats all, police station tomorrow to give reports and dashcam footage in, police have said there must be a reason he didnt stop, oh well life goes on i suppose ill wait for my insurance to pay out n start looking for another car :/

Probably had no insurance, tax MOT or possibly even a driving licence. You would be surprised how many are on the roads in certain parts of the country.

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Most important is your and your wife’s wellbeing. Good that nothing more has happened.
Hope you’ll get all sorted and injuries heal up without any trace.
All the best

Hopefully they can catch the tw@t with the dashcam footage. Might be worth plasting it all over fb and twitter?

I was thinking about it but i dont want to jeopardise the police investigation in anyway, im going to see what they say this morning as got to go give details fill forms out etc, once thats over with ill probably start posting the footage everywhere i can, i was thinking about going and sitting in a layby on the raod around the same time see if he drives past again, he was in a works vehicle so chances are he was on work route.

Sorry to hear about this but glad you are both ok .
Get to the Doctors for a check up and they will organise physio if required .
If you go sit and wait to see if the *******e comes by please don't approach him as it would alert him you are on the hunt and could muck up any police investigation later and he will deny it anyway .
Good luck .

If it was me (but i'm moany & annoying person) i'd say you have a week to find him and if not i'll just give all to the local paper and plaster it all over fb so he is found. That d!ck could of killed us!!!! I would tell the cops. If you know what direction the driver went then maybe there's CCTV along his escape route? If I was the tw@t who caused the accident no way would I be using that car again. It's either getting repaired or being sold ASAP. If you can tell the make, colour and model surely someone must of seen a smashed up XYZ car parked up somewhere in the area? Why should you lose money on your insurance because the police can't find him.

That really sucks. Was anyone else on the road at the time?
When some idiot barged me into the central reservation of a motorway, everything happened so quickly I didn't get a chance to see the reg. Luckily, a kind dude behind us saw the crash and followed the idiot for a little while, getting the idiot's reg and reported it to the police.

Cars a right off, bent strut and controll arm, warped spring and cracked anti roll bar, buckled wheel, not to mention a twisted subframe and then theres the outer body damage, still no sign of the scum bag that hit me and ran but its fair to say hes left me in the s@*t big time. Lose my no claims, lose my car, hardly any money for a another car, quotes to fix the damage are in the grands so either way im going to be out of pocket.

Man that's not good. Might be worth putting on fb in your area £200 reward if the guy is successfully caught? Someone might grass them up for cash. Police not found out anything?

With a bit of time and effort you can find most people. At work and even my wifes business I do all the debt collecting and its surprising what people put on social media about themselves and then wonder how I caught them. I hope you get him but the police couldn't catch a cold so I wouldn't rely on them too much

A long shot, but any houses or businesses on that road, or adjoining roads with cctv?
