Is there anyway to get the speed limit of the road to appear within the dash (virtual dash) like on the BMW's rather than on the sat nav screen? My 1 series has it and it find it really useful.

That's also something I would like in mine, however it seems that you'd have to code traffic sign recognition (as I also had in my 1-series) to get it to show up like below. I haven't coded traffic sign recognition yet but I will look into it when I have time. Some people are able to make it work others are not.

Thanks for that, I think i'm going to have to purchase another VCDS cable and have a play about!

Hmm, take a look at this: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/thread...ffic-sign-recogniton-yet.338973/#post-3084593

I have Matrix LED so the front facing camera is in place but the german link below says it should be parameterized, whatever that is? It should be able to code through VCDS though - maybe you have some exciting new information about this @DJAlix ? :hi:

German info: https://audiwiki.bitt-c.at/index.php/VZE_aktivieren
Transled from German:

In the following the necessary codes to activate the traffic sign recognition, if a front camera as well as the MMI navigation (goes with MMI navigation and with MMI navigation plus MMI touch) is installed. As a first step, the camera must be parameterized, otherwise it can not be coded.

Coding requires VCP for the parameterization of the camera!

Stand 14.03.2017: The parameterization / Flash file of the camera is sometimes only available for index A (8W0907217A)

Stand 25.04.2017: The parameterization / Flash file of the camera is now also available for index B (8W0907217B)

Stand 26.06.2017: The parameterization / Flash file of the camera is now also available for index C (8W0907217C)

Its not possible to mirror the Navigation Data speed limit to the virtual cockpit. The only way to have something like this would be to have traffic sign recognition, which works via the lane assist camera:

**High Beam Assist Camera is also used for Matrix Lights.

Now I'm just sad that I only have the camera for Matrix LEDs.... Nah f*ck it, no speed limits for me then :racer:

If it makes you feel any better I've found that the camera sign recognition is pretty inaccurate (admitted by an Audi technician) and having the speed limit displayed on the nav screen in my previous A3 (without camera) was far more reliable. Of course if there are temp speeds then it will be wrong, likewise if a road has recently changed.

But it is nice to see the speed limit on the DIS though - assuming I trust its accuracy that day ;)
