Hi,

I’ve got a 2012 A3 which I have removed the Audi concert radio and fitted a CTKAU10 stereo harness/fitting kit to connect to my new Kenwood DMX7017DABS radio, all steering wheels controls work perfect, front speakers working, but I have no sound coming out of the rear speakers, and on the radio I can’t access the rear zone to adjust, so it’s like there’s no power going to the rears, any one got any help on how to get these working? Would be massively appreciated! Pics included

Thanks in advance

Are the rear speakers powered by a separate amp in the back ? On the A4 b7 it is. If yours is powered from the rear amp you’ll have to run cables for the rear speaker from your stereo.

No I don’t think they are, I have a sub in the boot built in but when I had the car interior apart I never found an amp just the sub in side wall of the boot

Same as my b7. That’s the amp for the sub and rear speakers.
On the b7 the new head unit I put in is 50watts per channel but the Audi sub amp is only 20watts hence the high volume at the front speakers and low at the back. Best is to run a cable from your new head unit to the rear speakers, at least that’s what’s needed for the b7. Not sure if you wire a new amp for rear speakers and sub to save running new cables from the head unit

Which connectors did you use ?

On the b7 the concert head unit is about 30watts and the rear speakers b and rear speakers the same.

With the after market head unit I have the head unit is 40 watt and still the rear speakers and sub sent driven by the head unit and as such there is only 30 watts hence why on the b7 it appears that the rears aren’t working correctly.

That said interested in which connectors you used.

Did you got this head unit to a b8 or b7 ? Just curious cause maybe the wiring is different between the models

Hi, yes I did, only had to cut a wire and connect it to another using the remote cable

Wich cable was it? Is it the remote cable that you fit with the radio (blue cable)

I’m having a hard time with my rear speakers since I switch my headunit for a Pionneer AVH-2300 NEX. No sound came from the rear part of the car... maybe the wrong harness? I used the iDataLINK Maestro Rr with the VW1 harness. Maybe, I should juste switch all this for a ctkau10 like you.
