For anyone thats interested, the sensor mounted in the center speaker grill is the "sunlight" sensor for the vehicles Air Conditioning.

Quick one folks. If I don't plan anything other than a Stage 1 upgrade, is it worthwhile changing the intake? I may change the downpipe at a later date, but I want the maximum power I can from S1 without any hardware mods, if possible. I assume an intake with S1 won't make much difference?

Intake helps but makes more impact during stage 2 I believe...

Not done this on a FL car yet but believe the installation and coding process is the same. Activation I would need to test.

Can you buy the RS3 air vents separately with the red surround and diffusion feature and will the fit the FL?
 
Hey guys I though I would post my video on how to replace the mirror caps on an S3 with carbon fiber ones.

All part numbers are in video...

Alternatively give @DJAlix a message after the bank holiday for him to source part numbers for you. He can do the whole install too if you wish .. parts install and coding/parameters

I didn’t test it without the subwoofer so don’t know it sounds without the sub.

I definitely notice the mild improvement sound in the car. With the bass I notice the vast difference.

For the price and the ease of install I’d do it mate. Way better than standard. Can’t even remember how system sounded without sub and centre but just wished I did it earlier

Most definitely mate! You’ll have the full set up...
Only peeps with the level 1 standard kit won’t have the centre or sub...

If you have level 2 audi sound system, you’ll have the centre and sub..

Level 3 is b and o with everything including extra speakers in doors and pillars I believe...

I ve activated sub and center speaker in vcds. So nog when I disconnect a speaker I ve a fault what is normal But how do I get the volume control in my mmi.?

Your MMI unit needs updating by someone like myself in order to both activate your speaker outputs and MMU controls.

Yeh that’s right .. VCDS can’t do it alone .. you need him to parameter it.. he done mine :)

A dealership will not be able to do this as their software will not let them. You will need to find an advanced retrofitter or someone with access to VAG CAN Professional while it still exists.

By any chance, does someone here know how to enable the lock unlock Beep using an OBD11 app and dongle ? I found what i thought were the correct codes but they did not work.

at first I’d like to say hello from Hungary and thank everyone for their input on this forum. I'm sure that I'll find some impressive stuff here!
I'm working in an automotive firm as an embedded sw / hw test engineer.
I have a PFL Audi A3 limousine. I have decided to update my Standard (Panasonic made) MIB navigation to an MIB1 High (Harman).
It was easy to replace the units (main + display) , the Component Protection was removed by Chinese colleagues using VPN – everything was done in my Garage.
I had to do the coding/adaptation manually (using VCDS) , I have used my saved adaptation map from the replaced unit, and I have spent a lot of working hours to complete it.
The data sets are still missing (please check attached screenshot from ODIS-E) , so I am looking for someone who could do the parametrization for me.
All suggestions are most welcome

Roof up and down via fob

Can someone point me to the coding.
