yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Collected this morning, already stuck 140 miles on it today :D

Will stick pics up when I get a chance.

Been playing around with stuff and have most of it figured out but the VC and revised MMI is weird coming from two PFL models.
One quick question if anyone knows - how do you adjust the sound settings for music via CarPlay - the menu isn't available as you're not actually in the MMI.

Picking mine up on Friday!!!
Excited & nervous as coming from a 3dr 1.2 clio manual to an a3 sportback 1.5 auto so hoping the weather/road surfaces are nice to me as I get used to it all!

Im still at the port of emden, 7 days now waiting for a ship. This is definitely the most annoying stage of the wait

@A34Josh tell me about it dude. My OrderStatus went to code 30 on 23/11/17 and is now stuck at 36.

Must check my Audi Dashboard 6 times a day.

@A34Josh @DylanW Sitting in Emden is definitely the most frustrating part of the process! The ship which my car was on docked at Port of Tyne on Sunday afternoon, and I've been told by the dealer this morning that collection will be arranged for sometime next week!

Mine is at Emden and has been for about two weeks. I asked for mine in Jan so not too bothered although if it had arrived this week I'd have probably taken it.

Mine has refreshed this morning to say its on its way to the uk. Going to get on the phone to the dealer and see if next friday is a possible collection day

Has anyone been able to track their car before status 20? Audi have told me that it can’t be tracked just now as it’s only at status 10. Which seems wrong?

Mine updated over the weekend and as it's off to Tyne I expect it was on the "City of Rotterdam" ship which docked on the 16th.

got a call from Audi on Sunday to say that it will be with them by Friday at the latest so I can collect either Friday afternoon or Saturday Morning. The wait is nearly over and the Pre Christmas collection is happening

No thats correct. It only goes 20 when the factory accepts your order. From that point they have a provisional build week.

Interesting, Dealer gave me a provisional build week a few days after order was placed, and they can track it fine, which would assume status should be 20, but Audi disagrees

Tracking my new order at the moment, it's only status 10 and build week 3.

The dealer will have given you their best guess on the build date but that's all it is. The build schedule is managed by the factory, the dealer has no influence. Once the tracker shows your build date chances are it will move around until a few days before the build actually starts. Mine moved forward 3 times before it was actually built.

B5NUT, when did you place the order with the dealer? I placed mine 10 days ago, and I still cannot track it....
What build week did you get? Dealer has told me I’m build week 4, so maybe I’d build week 3 is trackable now, BW4 might work next week

I'm placed the order early December, something about build week 4 - let's hope it'll track next week :)

Thanks!

Placed my S3 Saloon order and was given a build week of 5. Tracking shows build to commmence on 29th January, however has already moved to Status 20 yesterday.

I really don't want my build week to move forward, as I'm now looking at an 18 plate, so don't want the car sat at the dealers for weeks.

I’m much the same was planning on early March collection, it’s going to be a struggle to hold off if it does arrive too early.

Exactly, I'm hoping it will be at the dealer mid feb so it can be inspected so the collection day goes without any issues.

Sometimes can take a week or so to appear in the tracker, so you should be up and running very soon.

I ordered a S3 sportsback end of Nov and was given a build week of end of Jan as I requested a March delivery...however my build week got moved forward and is now the way to the UK. Not keen knowing it could sit at the dealer for 2 months before I collect.

Same here - I ordered mine end of September confirming I wanted a March delivery - Dealer confirmed that they had advised factory March and they had allocated a build slot for the end of January.

Advised 2 weeks ago that it had come forward slightly which is standard - When I put the order number in build week 18th December and now has left Ingolstadt - Hoping it doesn't leave until the new year but wouldn't surprise me.

My current car turned up in December 2015 - Dealer fortunately is new and had a great storage space to keep it wrapped until March 2016 although they did try to get me to take it early - Deal wasn't good enough though

My dealer has called to book me in for Jan week one pickup but then said it'll be registered 29th or 30th Dec, to which I've said no way. he is "trying" to get it moved into January but if he can't they'll be looking for a new buyer.

I said January earliest when I ordered, which was projected to be 22 weeks. It's been 13 weeks since I ordered

They will want to register it in Dec so that it counts towards their quarter 4 sales figures. Better make it worth your while if they want it registered earlier!

I was wondering if they will offer anything for me to take it early, I would consider it if the price was right. Anyone have any experience of this?

Yup, but it can count towards their Q1 2018 figures ;)

Am prepared to walk if necessary.

@A34Josh Congrats, pretty crazy that you've already got a collection date given your status went to 30 on 5/12. Mine went to status 30 on 23/11 and hasn't been updated since.

I ordered mine at the end of october and was given build week start of december as they managed to put me in a slot that was 4 weeks earlier. finally collected yesterday and already done 100 miles, very impressed with the car, definitely met expectations

That's lovely.

If the gear selector on the S3 was the same as on the A4 (B9) I'd change my order to an S3

I think mine must be on the same shipment mate, Build Week 18th December and has also now left Ingolstadt.

Holding out until March 1st to collect on the 18 plate.

Looks awesome mate, love the colour!!! I’m really jealous, I ordered my S4 27th October too and has been at Grimsby port since 15th December at status 40. Wish it’d get a move on...I wanted to be driving it around Christmas like you hah!

Morning Ben

Good thing is that it still says left Ingolstadt but not on way to UK yet so still hoping that it's at the factory and not yet actually left as the Tracker can be a little ahead of itself and I think the factory usually shuts down over the Xmas/New Year period so hopefully won't start it's journey until next week at least

Should be bang on for March (18 Plate)

Have a good New Year

Sounds more like it's on the train to, or already at, the port, where it'll wait on a ship
