As the title says, lets see your B7 saloons on air ride. Need some ideas on what wheels sizes/specs to go for and would be cool to see other peoples!
Heres mine

Fk I believe. They where nearly new when I took them off and I’ve still got them sat in my garage

How did you find them ? I'd fk ones before in a Passat and they were very crashy feeling especially on the front.

That's why I was put off them for the a4 but have been thinking of possibly getting a set and swapping out the lowering springs.

Sorry mate only just seen you reply. Yeah they was a really good coilover for the money. I’ve had 4 people in my car no scraping with 9.5j on the rear. Car was also used as a family car as well so they wasn’t to harsh.

I should be getting 10mm spacers as well 2 reasons really 1 they sit really close on the inside and 2 I want them to poke out a tad more so I can get he fitment bang on

The arches haven’t been touched at all mate I had 19” 9.5j on there before and slight stretch with max camber on coilovers and they didn’t scrub.

i do like those rotas. whats the spec on them?

18” 9.5j et38 all round and then I’ll have 10mm added with spacers and a good bit of stretch so when aired out the arch will tuck in between the wheel and the tyre nicely

what size tyre will you be having on them?

Literally got delivered today I think the earliest they be fitted is next week. I work away from home 5/6 days a week so don’t really get time to do a lot. But should be next week fingers crossed.

Im waiting for my air ride to be fitted. should be done this month.

i have 8.5x19 ET35 with an 8mm spacer and 225/35 tyre.

do you know if id be needing any modification to the arches or should i just take the spacers out?

Tbf mate you should be able to pull that off no problem with or without air. I was running 19 9.5j at I’m sure it was et40 with very little stretch and never had a problem with it scrubbing even with the car full on trips to London with mates.

This is a daily so you can imagine how hard it is over speed humps

Yeah mine was pretty low on coils and barley any room in between the tyre and arch but didn’t really have any problems and it’s mainly used to cart me the miss’s and my little girl about in 90% of the time. Used on a daily bases all the time when it’s in the road as the other half has a 1.2 clio

So after a very difficult and cold 2 hours at the tyre fitters this morning between 5 of us we managed to get one tyre on as the wall just wouldn’t flex as it’s to cold. So buy next weekend when I return from work they should be done.

But for now I’ve got a little teaser of the one wheel on the car and it looks ****** sexy I have to admit

Tell me about it I rang them about half hour ago and they’d done one more and the other 2 was sat against the radiator to try and flex the rubber on the walls a bit better

I can’t wait to fit my air ride. I’ve got the 3p kit going on

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love having air ride and it’s taken a while to do but I’ve done the hole car myself and replaced quite a lot at the same time as doing so. But the satisfaction of doing it then seeing it at the end is wicked.

3p kit is a nice kit I’ll be upgrading my manifold to the 3p one at a later date not in a rush as there’s not a great difference between them tbf
