Post pics of your B8 A4/S4...

I ordered mine back in April/May soon after ECS released it for B8.5s. Here is how it looks on my car and I am sure with Black Edition red color it would look awesome!

That looks really good. I work with a couple of Americans and can get stuff imported from the US without paying import duties etc. Will have to check it out.

Nice rear diffuser, where did you get it from, presumably your car is an 8.5. I am struggling to find a rear diffuser in the uk for an S4 B8. 5
Yea bud as Tashfeen said it's from awesomegti will look amazing on your red one as your backboxes look like they are sitting quite a bit lower than the standard diffuser gaps.

For the S4 it's so hard for cosmetic aftermarket parts unlike BMW. If you want Carbon it's ECS or Deval if you are ok with gloss black or Matt there's cheaper one (still about £400 for plastic) from driving passion just check it fits yours.

Driving passion don't do diffuser for 8.5 as yet. Deval one isn't cheap either!

Ah ok, the ECS is pretty much in same price bracket as the Deval too.

When you guys are washing your cars, do you use Hot Water? Heard of some folks who have Pressure Washers that heat the water up, so they can then also fill their Bukets easily with hot water.

Have not washed my own car at home for more years than I care to remember, so out of touch with latest techniques/equipment. Had thought I'd just get an attachment for my Karcher that would give me the snow foam effect, but then I started thinking about my freezing hands as winter sets in!!

Hope your out playing in that

Did that . I took out my other B8, which is a FWD and got the scare on couple of occasions. And then took her out, I was nervous at first but I must admit driving a Quattro for the first time in snow with snow tires on is an amazing experience. The grip is unbelievable.

Not fair, I want them even more now
Are these OEM or replicas? I have seen a set of 19” but would actually like 18 as I don’t want to compromise the sweet SE suspension

OEM 19x9 ET33. S-line suspension, maybe slightly more crashy but nothing that bothers me. Although i previously had 19x8.5 ET43. Still a smooth ride when I travelled 600 miles up to Skye and about Scotland a few months ago!

Did you just swap tyres on your main S4 Alloys, or have you invested in seperate winter alloys??

Swapped the tyres @GaryP and went for budget option from a local shop . Will invest in a proper winter setup next year as I had to change my wife’s car. Expensive December.

Roads round here this morning were like polished glass!! Bit of Thaw and Freeze overnight. You'd need studded tyres to get your Stage 2 getting any traction (and Direction!).

It just hurts. I knew there wasn’t enough clearance but I thought I’ll try. Shouldn’t have but I did .

It is £117 per alloy as it is diamond cut. Luckily I have the alloy insurance, which will cover this. I had the rear ones done back in July/August due to chip marks. It is just a hassle, and annoyance. Claim it, wait for it to be approved. Book in the car and the nearest one is in Swindon so, drive up there leave the car for a week and pick it up.

I have never even considered that alloy wheel insurance existed! I was about to say you'd need diamond cut insurance but it looks like you have the diamond cut painted over, is that right?

If I recall it correctly, when I asked about the process last time I was there; it was along something like any previous layers are removed, damage fixed and alloy repainted (depending on the colour) and then through the lathe for the diamond cut.

New Car, just recently purchased.

I'd imagine the final stage is then a clearcoat to protect the exposed metal from corrosion

I would like to think but I’d be lying to say that yes as I don’t remember. I have to book in the car again for front one including callipers so, will definitely ask for the full process.
