Help me with my next upgrade

would you reckon a new map will increase HP? i did get it mapped before i changed the hpfp.

i have considered to stop with the engine mods, and go for some cosmetics. like painting the rims and calipers.

i also looked at a new front grill, im not so sure about the quality tho. but
mine is a bit "ugly" from having passed the 120k km mark.

I had one of those for a while, pretty good replica, couldn’t fault it, but had to swap it out for an OEM RS3 grille when a second hand one came up.

Would a recommend a custom remap to make most of the engine upgrades

is there like a noticeable difference comparing it to the oem one?

yea i knew the remap was more or less necessary

thx

I think there their the best replicas available, I couldn’t fault it, I just new it wasn’t real so it had to go eventually

If all you're doing is changing the intercooler and the RS4 fpv then you probably won't benefit too much from a map tweak. If you haven't already, invest in a decent set of ARBs.

i changed the hpfp, but i got the map done before doing so.

Aah, ok, then you will definitely benefit from a map tweak, but install the RS4 valve first. I have a AKS Tuning valve rated for upto 175Bar up for sale if you wanted to get the most out of your map tweak? Who did your map?

i did actually consider doing that before hand.. it shouldnt take to long installing the rs4 valve am i right?

unfortunately i live in denmark, but the ones who did it ensure me that it could get pushed further, but not with the oem hpfp.

will the rs4 valve do anything hp wise?

You can actually fit the rs4 valve without taking the manifold off - it's a bit tricky but possible. As far as hp, it will allow your tuner to run up to 130Bar fuel pressure which will release more hp. You can actually run up to around 150Bar without any issues.

i just ordered one, so ill be remapping my car with it. ill post when i get it done :) hopefully it will increase my hp

thank you!

also, ill probably be getting one of those grilles within a few months time

just got the map done

car is at 384 hp now :D

That's great! The dyno is probably a bit optimistic but as long as you see an increase and the car feels good then that's all that matters. Did you do your clutch?

im running shell v-power 99 aswell.

but my car is running so smooth now, and it pulls like never before. the difference is very noticeable

nope still running with stock clutch

just put the new front grill on. the car looks so much better now

If you dip the accelerator back down after you accelerate you can make it flutter on tap i mite do a video clip sounds awsome!!!!!!! Did you feeal how responsive the car was after changing out the stock???! Gfb make some deccent parts man

yea the difference is very noticeable. the car feels alot more responsive, without a doubt

haha yes, without a doubt :D the sounds is great aswell

Nice looking whip for sure. The new grill is a treat. I followed one of the members and switched to the blackout fog grill and had it painted gloss black. It matches the honeycomb grill and gives it a nice new pop of style.

ahh yes, ive seen that one.

i had the revo cai installed + the increase in boost from the map seems to have increased it

Hello everyone

im in doubt whether i should upgrade my car or just keep it as it is

currently running with loba hpfp, full milltek sportback and revo cai.

my car is pushing 354+ hp

what would be the next "go to" upgrade?

im only looking for engine upgrades ;)
none ! just stop messin .. u have super car !

Hi Kaspar,
Where did you get your car mapped?
(Kører selv en S3 og skal selv til at mapped den snart :))

Just as a matter of interest my DV was the later none diaphragm type but was failing. It had gone down hill for a while and while i knew something was wrong it wasnt obvious what. the slower the car got the louder the fart on gear changes got. In the end more luck that judgment i changed to a DV+ and it totally transformed the car back to a quick little thing for an audi shopping trolley :) now i can feel the traction control cutting in in 1st and 2nd in the dry.....Fart from the exhaust on gear changes has completely gone though now.

i was wondering about getting my IC upgraded to a wagner one

how big a difference is there, comparing it to the stock one?

will there be any hp gains after a remap?

Will be getting mine done this month so i will let you know. It should give a slightly better flow and cue boost leaks from plastic ic's however its more about getting the Turbo to run more efficiently at higher temps than any gains from a normal cold day reading i think. If you are running 384bhp then i cant see you getting gains TBH. I am only doing mine because i have the later plastic IC.

I went for the Wagner and all the CTS Pipes from turbo to inlet manifold, really opens up the air intake system and maxes airflow, needs a remap to optimise fuel settings with the extra air, worthwhile mod, I felt the engine was more responsive after fitting but can’t give any advice on numbers.

Bit of a ****** to fit as you have to have the entire front end off and refill coolant etc, also my air con pipes wouldn’t fit back as the ic is so big it takes all the space.

Still a worthy mod but probably later on the list

i should probably upgrade the IC + the cts pipes before getting the remap done to get the most out of it

looking at the throttle pipe, i assume it fits the s3 8p, eventhough it doesnt say?

You will need a bigger turbo for the next remap so then you will need a IC

There is a cts throttle pipe, replaces that crap restrictive oem unit
