@jojo Is it still available to Lego VIP members?
Sold out ATM. They released 100 sets in store with a signed VIP card in London on the 14th at midnight, and released it for sale online @730am on the 15th, which sold out in 20 minutes! Official in store release date is October 1st.

If you can get your hands on an in store purchase, the kit comes in a box that transforms into a wheeled trolley, which is commanding a premium to buy on eBay.

When Yodel leaves 1300 quids worth of Lego on your doorstep!

Hope you have got the Lego as well as the S3 covered by CCTV and home alarm system

The second one is not a spare by any chance is it?

I am not jealous really!!!!!!

Not 100% confirmed, but apparently the 1st October release date has been put back due to demand! Maybe they are making more?
Will keep a look out then.

They badly over stocked the Porsche GTS last year so maybe over compensated. If they have to make more you would expect the delay to be 4-6 weeks to get through the supply chain

Finally completed my Lepin Super Star Destroyer

On the subject of Millenium Falcon, it’s time I start to build mine! The whole kit is so big, it doesn’t even fit on my table! Lol

Probably take me 2 weeks to build this.

This was my sorting of the Lepin version of the Millenium Falcon from last year, took a good couple of hours as none of the packs were packed in build order just by part type

Any reason why you still want a genuine kit?

Simple answer

‘Cos it’s new, and the biggest Lego set available

Long answer ..........

Winter hobby - Over the last 7 or 8 years or so I have built about 40 of the 50 largest Lego models across the Lego Range (Technic, Star Wars, buildings etc etc) so when a new big model comes out it goes on the list.

Lepin is not Lego - even if part and build quality is as good I only build the Lepin models of Lego sets that are not available due to cost or availability - I have a Lepin Taj Mahal to start next ( lego versions are north of £1000!!!) and when lego release there new version that will also go on my to be built list.

Once models are built I only keep on display for a couple if weeks, takes some photos if I remember and then sell on, usually via eBay to fund the next

They still sell Lego at lower prices, albeit, still more expensive than it's competitors. The Larger kits are more unique, and only made in limited numbers, hence the higher price tag and if they are sold out, they tend to hold/go up in value.

Only just realised you built the 2007 Falcon.

As long as you have the time Rob, never to old to take it back up, and you don’t need to buy just the big builds to enjoy.

I’ve got 2xUnopened Millennium Falcons, one is already sold.

I was originally going to buy another kit just to build, but then came across the Lepin kit for £167 posted! So just for the building experience, it’s a bargain! Hence why I asked you earlier why you are after a genuine kit, when you know Lepin sells one at 1/4 of the price?

I’m keeping my original one as an investment.

Ps. The bags are numbered in this kit.

I am going to hold out for a genuine kit or two (keep one and one as an investment) for a while longer. The local Lego store is only 30 mns away and they get there deliveries Friday morning and I regularly phone up on the morning to see if they have got any in,

Good to know the Lepin kits are now in numbered bags, its a real pain sorting out the large sets and hunting for those odd pieces

I’ve been told that some more will be available on the 27th, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Day3, approximately 2hrs worth.

I was originally going to build the custom stand I got at the end, but since it's my day off, and the Falcon is at the shop, I decided to build the custom stand at home today.

The last pic has a mobile phone next to it to give you an idea on how big this stand is! It needs to support the Millenium Falcon after all.
