Only done about 2 miles from the garage to home and never got over 30.

First impressions are it’s a lovely car. Interior is lovely and love the grey with the black pack and carbon mirrors. Will see what it looks like in the daylight tomorrow. in dynamic mode the exhaust sounds great and that was at low revs. Might take it for a spin tonight once the little one is asleep and the roads more empty.

virtual cockpit is amazing and the MMI is a step up from the b8 and will take some time to get used to it

Was going to get a service plan for it but came out as £50 a month for 3 services over 3 years. So just going to put money away. Can’t decide whether to do yearly servicing or when the car tells me. Only going to be doing about 6k miles a year.

Had a lot of comments from the sales and technicians about how good the carbon mirrors look. Its a small change that most people don’t see. But I love them.

How were the Matrix headlights? Really looking forward to seeing then in action tomorrow.

Just been out to fill up with fuel and drive the car a bit more. matrix headlights are amazing. lights up everything and the way the beams change when on full beam as it detects on coming cars. only taken it to about 4k revs but the sound is addictive.

tried to connect my audi to the car, but gave up. will have to try again at the weekend when i have some time.

Like we all do. My commute to work is 3.2 miles however I have clocked up 10k miles in last one year. I am sure you’ll find your excuses as well

Car booked in tomorrow for a new car protection detail. means no car for 2 days.. but its worth it..

Daytona looks lovely. I ordered a black one yesterday and would have liked to have gone metallic. Mine's a lease so I was being super frugal with the options.. ended up with just the Light & Vision Pack in the end. Black will need constant cleaning and I'm not sold on the standard alloys but you can't have everything! Enjoy the car :)

some interior shots.

@Robbe car looks absolutely fantastic!

Regarding your servicing question above. If I had my time again I would leave the car on variable servicing but get a local indie to do an oil change every year. That way you get the Audi stamps (well electronic stamp - you know what I mean) with the additional peace of mind of annual oil changes. I believe @jdp1962 is doing this.

The Audi guidance suggests less than 10k miles and you should be on annual servicing. When I got my car I was doing less than 6k a year so asked them to set it to annual/10k. Fast forward 3 years and every time it goes in for servicing they put it back to variable by mistake. I've given up now and just have the date in the diary instead.

Thanks.. I am loving it.

I was going to try and do the service every year and just see what price they want for the first service. starting a savings account to put money away each month. I did ask for a fixed servicing, but the car is set to variable. so will just ignore that and get it serviced this time of year.

Spot on, @scotty76 . I have no faith in my local Audi dealer's ability to take care of my car, so I get the absolute minimum done there to maintain the offical service record then get everything else on top (including annual oil changes) done at my local indie.

@Robbe, I'm actually a fan of "ordinary" cars as loaners. They make your appreciate your own all the more when you get it back. The last thing I want is a temporary courtesy car that's better than mine. :)

So, let me get this clear: You take your S4 into a dealer and they say "sorry, the only car we can loan you is an R8, unless you want the 1.0 Fabia that we have borrowed from our sister dealership". You'd take the Fabia?

Thanks. Looks even better in person!!! Just waiting for a nice sunny day to really show off the paint. Well worth the money to get it done. Would highly recommend it.

I've got mine booked in for a ceramic coating on the 24th, it will be with him for 3 days but no courtesy car.

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? Mine will be £450 for paint, wheels and glass with a full proper clean before.

it was £450 as well.

the car had

Deep clean
This is to remove any leftover pre-delivery transit waxes or oils that may have been applied at the factory.
Exterior glass is cleaned with a specialist Nanolex Glass Polish. Vehicle paintwork is decontaminated using imported clay bars and lubricants.
Wheels are cleaned using Nanolex Wheel Cleaner and Iron Remover to remove any trace if brake material.

Single stage Gloss ehancement
Once the exterior decontamination process is carried out, the vehicle then has a single stage gloss enhancement. This is to eliminate any marks or defects the paintwork may have picked up between being built, and being handed over to the customer.
We use an orbital polishing machine to eradicate the possibility of swirl marks or holograms. The vehicle is then wiped down with Nanolex paint cleaner. This removes any oils or fillers the polish may have left behind, leaving a perfect finish ready for sealant application.

Sealant application
Once the vehicle has been through the rigorous preparation process, the Nanolex Sealants are applied. The vehicle paintwork, wheels, light units and bright work have Nanolex Paint and Alloy Sealant applied by hand. This is carried out by two detailers to ensure a consistent layer of sealant is applied to vehicle’s surface. Whilst one detailer applies, the other follows buffing the sealant.
Once the paintwork is sealed, the glass has a hydrophobic sealant applied. This is Nanolex Glass Ultra. Any unpainted trims are protected with Nanolex Trim sealant, and tyres are dressed with either a satin or gloss treatment.

Curing Stage
Once the sealant application is complete, the vehicle is left for a minimum of 12hrs indoors. This allows the sealants to fully cure and begin protecting the vehicle. A final inspection is carried out, and the vehicle is then ready for collection.
