Post Pics Of Your A4/S4 B9 In Here

It’s looks really good. Maybe you should do it. ;)

Maybe, but I’m also wondering how the OEM darkened/clear versions would look. Kinda like Wize1972’s S5...

Oh my. They would look awesome. And even more awesomer on my black edition. Or would a black edition with blacked out badges and blacked out rear lights be toooo much black?

Although I did hear my wife say to her friend “you can’t have too much black” after her hen party in Jamaica. There must be lots of cars with blacked out badges and lights out there. Can’t think what else she possibly meant. :D

Can’t imagine she’d have been meaning anything other than cars with black bits...

I think it would look fine to be honest. The only thing that’s stopped me doing it is cost (about £500 on eBay) and the fact that the red led elements that light up for sidelights/headlights are very red with the rest of the light being darkened and I’m not totally sure I like it or not yet.

Exactly... If you’re good with some Laminex film or something then they could look good though I think. I’m not convinced I’d manage it and think that they’re just about dark enough standard so not too worried.

That might change in the future of course.

Yeah, I did notice they were quite dark as standard. I’d be tempted to tint them myself though but would be worried about the legalities.

Plus my insurance wanted to charge me £50 admin fee just to tint my rear windows on my current car so I’m not sure I’ll bother.

Having previously looked into it, I think the legality is essentially so long as the lights are still visible when activated then you’re good. The main issue was that you had to be able to get a decent reflection from the red reflectors to pass an MOT. Most lights have them built in but ours are separate so it should be alright to tint them as long as it’s not ridiculous.

I’ve nothing to worry about then as I never keep a new car longer than two years so never MOT it. :D

I know the feeling! Such a waste of money but it’s nice being in a new car that you don’t have to worry about too much.

I don’t have many extravagancies in life really, so treating myself to a nice shiny new car (and new car smell!) every two years is my little treat.

I’m much the same. Would definitely prefer a nice car rather than drinking all the time or strippers or drugs or pretty much all other things.

Well. I know I said I don’t have many, but booze, strippers, drugs and a new car every 2 years are all included in my “not many”

Still getting use to my S4, as you can probably see from the trip counter it’s still on only 300 miles! The pace it has is pretty rapid but still learning the 8 speed box. Been out to get some photos though as it was sunny!

Lovely pics - Those alloys suit the black colour really well.

Just received my car yesterday and will post the pics up later :)

Long-time lurker here - been watching this place for about 4 months, firstly trying to decide on colour and then waiting for it to arrive!

Went for the 1.4 TFSI S-Line with 18" diamond cut alloys, privacy glass and extended LED lighting pack (which is awesome).

Loving it so far, and incredibly pleased with the colour. Coming from a 2.0 TDI A3, the 1.4 engine is more than powerful enough. The ride is perhaps a little firmer than I expected, but generally very comfortable. Very pleased!

Love those diamond cut 18" alloys, I think they're the nicest looking alloys of the current range.

They are awesome. Better looking than any of the 19" in my opinion. I nearly skipped them because of the supposed difficulty with fixing up scuffs and scratches, but I'll just stay away from kerbs!

Thank you sir - it was in fact you and Maui that turned me onto the Matador Red. Nearly went for Brilliant Black for the sake of saving £20 a month - glad I didn't.

I should add the disclaimer that I have them as well on a Mythos Black S-Line!! But yep, I agree. It was one of the things that swayed me back to S-Line from the BE.

Any pics of Navarra Blue with black styling? I've got an S4 on order but can't decide on chrome or black styling.

i think navarra works better without black pack. its marginal though, it will look great.
BP suits lighter cars IMO

I think I agree, Navarra is too dark for the black. Chrome stands out more

I'm picking mine up tomorrow morning! I'll post some pics in the afternoon

Chrome on Navarra is OK but I could not have put up with the rear valance surround, too “blingy” for my taste.
