hi there,

I am trying desperately to upgrade my car to a 2 din dashboard and fit an Chinese android navigation... but i ran into some problems with my climatronic unit.
The error "01487 upper limit exceeded"
The car : a3 8pa 2.o tdi 2006
I bought a 2 din carriage which came with the middle buttons (esp, hazard, passenger airbag off and coin holder) and clima unit (climatronic)
After the swap, i ran a vcds scan and surprise! "01487 upper limit exceeded"
The 2 din including clima unit came from UK (RIGHT hand drive) BUT my car is LEFT hand drive...
I managed to copy the old clima settings and transfer to the new clima unit... NO LUCK! USING ODIS software and did all the steps as software tells you when you replace clima unit...
I tried to do the basic adaption to the new clima unit, but without lick. On block "003" the test fails...
block "001, 002, 004" are ok, the only problem is with block 003
The symptoms: basic settings adaption on block 003, the test starts, everything is normal, tempretures starts to drop like 5-6 degrees, then all the flaps from the blower are closed, no air is getting out for the next 4 minutes, the live temperature readings freezes, then the tests fails.
Also this HVAC error is stored into CAN-Gateway also and it says something about a missing wire or short to ground...

If i mount the old clima unit it works like a charm....

The new clima unit installed is blocking fresh air to enter the car if the ac is on....

old clima unit code: 8p0 820 043 D (2005)
new clima unit code: 8p0 820 043 G (2011)

Anyone have any idea?

Is the unit too new for my central electronics module?
Is it because it came from a RIGHT hand drive car?
Is it defective?

i don't know what to do... i don't wan't to invest another 100euros in another clima unit and find out that my car doesn't accept it...
if the replacement one whic i already have is defective i don't have any problem to buy another one...

PS: I tried to use a newer CAN module (2008) but it didn't solve my problem :((((

Thanks!
