Hi guys,

I have searched through google no nobody seems to offer much adivce and i just wanted to know who insures the stage 1 remap?
I used to be with keith michaels for my subarus/evo's etc buty they just couldnt be competitive on the S4 with prices coming in at £2000, with my current mods bar the remap and im paying £960 at 30 years old with 1 accident and 3 years no claims on a non specialist policy. I currently have a Manchester M postcode which doesnt help anything at all but have bought a property in Warrington/Cheshire which means it wont be M for much longer.

Who are you guys with other than Adrian Flux?

Thanks

I used Sky Insurance - very reasonable price - but with high admin fees for cancelling policy as I found out after changing the car 6 months into it!
Depending on the value of the car, it's worth looking at Greenlight too. (Think they have an upper limit of £20k or something)
I tried loads and most places were really funny about any gains over 100bhp. Below this you have a lot more options.

Hi thanks for the reply, this is possibly another issue, the value of the car is £22k. The company i am currently with dont mind me remapping the car its just as you say they wont even covers gains of 70bhp which is less than revo map gains and more superchips territory :(

I tried all the recommendations on here and Sky and Greenlight were the only ones who would cover me. FYI - this was on an A6 with the 3.0tfsi engine, so gains were actually greater than my previous S4 making it even harder.

perfect thank you for the advice i will look into this

My current (main stream) insurer wasn't interest in Stage 2 mods (fair enough). Sky came in a bit expensive, Adrian Flux were much more reasonable and easy to deal with over the phone.

Greenlight were by far the best I found, they don't charge you for any visual modifications you make (just go online and add them to your list) and havent found any hidden admin fees yet either. Even a change of address occurred no extra fees. The 20k limit may be a sticking point though.

+1 Adrian Flux. Paying £550 for my S4, which has stage 2 remap and other mods.

Sky for me. They insured me for stage 2 and a brake upgrade.

With insuring mods it's a case of getting on the phone and ringing about. Much more time consuming than comparison sites but it is necessary.

Sky for me too, used to use flux on my b6 but 1 renewal came through stupidly expensive even though I’d been with them for about 5 years. I swapped to sky and now have both my s4’s insures with them

I have a few cars on our company trade insurance.
They sent an assor out to check My S4 and what was on it.
Guy looked over it, ticked a few boxes on his spread sheet left. 10 mins.
2.5 hr drive
10 min visit
2.5 hr drive...

Shame we can't all do that though, would be some crazy things on my drive if I had one policy for all cars.

yeah that sounds great to me!

thanks for all the replies guys
