What have you done to your A3 (8p) this week

Car went into Audi stansted for abs software update yesterday, they gave me an A4 courtesy car for the morning

Then told me the update hadn't worked and would need a new abs module and would be done by Tuesday

I had to return the A4 and they gave me an A6 3.0 Quattro

Got a call back at 3.30 today to say all done , my remap was still ok and no emissions update was carried out
Happy days

Yeah Lea, are they happy to do the ABS one and not the emissions recall - as this is my worry?

Yes they had no issues with only doing abs update, I told them car was remapped and I didn't want emissions update done , even left a postage note in red felt pen stuck to steering wheel saying so , in all I can't fault them , didn't get any free gift though like someone on here did

Thought I'd do some maintiance on my S3,

Changed the PCV to the new revised one. Didn't need doing. Also did cam follower and Spark plugs. All were in good condition. Cam follower was like new so I put it away. Also changed the rear brakes and discs with genuine OEM from Audi. Got all my parks from Mike. Top guy.

Sweeeeet good one, nice to know.

Removed the HID's , removed the cone filter, booked it in for a service.

AP coilovers, Whitline rear ARB and a short shift.
Week before I put my winter wheels on, getting mine refurbished.
Had my windows tinted few weeks ago and added the wind deflector.
Need some time to get my bank balance back up before I do anything else!!

So far this week...
Whiteline Rr ARB; powerflex gbox mount; Powerflex ALK; undertray repairs; Milltek exhaust repair; adjusted tracking; bought winter tyres and 2nd set of rims.
Over the next 2 weeks its fit Revo CAI & plugs then off to R-Tech for stage2+ and Jack @ Royal for retrimmed steering wheel.

Looking forward to having the car in the full spec i was aiming for!

My propshaft decided to poo itself on a trackday so just had that swapped out for a new oe item. Same time fitted the scorpion downpipe and sports cat.
Cat-back arrived yesterday so getting that on this weekend and also ordered myself a TTS engine cover to fit, since I've now got an aftermarket intake.

Had FrankenAudi serviced yesterday, DSG flush then new oil &filter, Engine flush then new oil & filter, new plugs and general check over. They couldn't replace the drivers side O2 sensor as its properly seized to the manifold , only way now looks like a replacement manifold and a major ball ache to fit it - Balls! Guess I will just live with it (or until MOT failure for emissions no doubt), car still returns 300 miles to the tank, starts and runs fine.

Picked up a nice Bcs Powervalve Exhaust from a member at a very decent price.cheers @Monty1987 .
Now have exhaust fitted but no pics and my mechanic fitted my induction kit so all n all be a good Mod done . looking forward to letting her rip legally tomorrow on my way to Glasgow so if you see me flash

My first post on this forum, got my Audi A3 a month ago. Got the brake discs and pads changed last week and famous cam follower this week. Today DSG oil and rear break discs, only if I will manage to twist in a seized rear right caliper....

Where did you source the wind deflectors from please? Any noticeable difference?

Wind deflector came from here:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331605542894
Don't notice any difference until I get to/go past about 60. Slight wind noise.
I have a set on the wife's A3 and they seem a lot louder on her's than mine!?
The main difference is I can crack the window open after it's been raining and not get ****** soaked!! Lol!!

Ah and here I thought that it would reduce wind noise after 60! There's something about my A3 - anything above 60 and the driver side gets noisy and hissy!

Forge DV valve in and PCV valve. After having Stage 1 custom map. Dv from forge motorsport, PCV valve from Garage Midnight.

Decided to do the cam belt and water pump on my facelift 2008 s line tdi yesterday, I found it a bit less fiddly on the common rail engine than my older 2005 A3 View attachment 131974

When I lowered the under tray I found this spring View attachment 131976
But couldn't find where it had come from , it was located at the back of the tray gearbox side . Any ideas ?

So....what is holding the car up? Is it the blocks of wood or the paint pot?

Haha,
it was on a normal jack, the Wood is emergency back up (steep driveway) & the paint pot for brake fluid..
