Thanks . Cool , Tu parles français Evotion ? ( Do you speek french ? )
En fait , on appelles ça " un filet rouge "( red line or red net ?) , très inspiré du " tuning Allemand ". ( german tuning )

Ma famille a une maison près de fougères.

It is frustrating that we have to buy these ****** excellent German hatchbacks!
The French and the English just don't compete at this level of hatchback.

I still miss my 1990 Renault 5 Turbo though :)

Very nice Patrice, are the carbon bits actually carbon or a wrap.?

Looks good Patrice. I have not gone for either black or silver packs but would consider a carbon wrap instead if Inthink the car needs it when I get it.

Nice! Impressive car.
You have such nice roads over in France and very little traffic - compared to UK. Very envious.

These alloy wheels were very beautiful, but very fragile.

I broke them in less than a month. So I buy other alloy wheels, and also lighter .
ISPIRI FFR5 8.5 X20 ET 42 , with spacer in the front = ET 39 .

And no explanation for the delay.:blownose:

Why do you need Audi S3 wheel hubs . ( Shorter 10 mm / 0.3937 inch)?

Sorry for my english ,but I do not master the technical terms

Because the brake discs FL are offset by 7 mm. The new FL wheels also from elsewhere . 8.0 ET 42 instead of ET 49 and 8.5 ET 46 instead ET 53 .

There are two solutions.
The first : put spacer of 7 mm on the caliper support, but the caliper do not pass in the Rotor , it is therefore necessary also for the wheel .
Rw3L7.jpg

Second solutions : 3 mm machined caliper support . 3 mm + 7 mm offset brake discs = Total 10 mm , and replace the wheel bearing with a 10 mm shorter (S3 8V) , then a 10mm spacer is needed to recover the offset wheel .
v295g.png

I put 12.5 mm, to have a neutral behavior, more " understeer "
Did you manage to understand?

Therefore today, the continuation of the evolutions in progress .

To perfect the braking, visually and in performance , I have already received the goodridge brake lines and the Vagbremtechnic Rear 356x22 discs upgrade kit . I also took the option OEM wave Brakes discs RS6 .

To improve the chassis , I focused on the brand 034 motorsport .

And sway bar H&R
nZ8gw.jpg

For the suspension , to remove Magnetic ride , I took the KW cancellation kit to install Bilstein Clubsport .

jJpDe.jpg

Bilstein have a delay of 30 days for stock-out !!!
v2O93.jpg

And of course as I said before, I waited for the TTE500 since May 24 , to do an Upgrade 3 at KSF / MRC .
b5d1g.jpg

To accompany this upgrade, the Cat-back No-resonated Milltek with Cerabote black will be installed (Already received at franck KSF / MRC )

And finally, a last photo .

Bonjour Patrice, bienvenue.

Merci

Hi manuel and dunes7 .
Good process exchange, I know my English is not very good , sorry . Correct my spelling when I'm wrong ,like this, I will progress . Thanks

To dunes , "que ?" correspond to "than" in french . What or how is more appropriate .

To Manuel , You are English and live in France ?

"Une question svp, le MTM........... l'avez vous acheter en France? Si oui , où? Et aussi, votre assurance.........problème?

on a forum, as with friends , we can say : stp (s'il te plait ) instead of svp , and tu instead of vous .

So, no, I did not buy the MTM Cantronic in france, but in germany .In France, it is too expensive . Besides, I sell it because I no longer need it ,my MTM can only be mounted on RS3 8V . No V-max limit .
Nothing is declared to the insurance, because nothing is homologated in France . Just unplug it, it takes 5 minutes, as for a servicing at AUDI .

Bye:salute:

merde ;) a combination of trying to work in English whilst writing French (hate writing in a foreign language) using a UK keyboard for which I couldn't be bothered putting in accents, sorry. Yes, of UK origin but living in southern France regularly blatting over the black mountains between Albi and Beziers........recommended.

Very nice region, on the french forum, a member live not far from home, with a Daytona RS3 8V . In the cevennes and he is really friendly .

A very brave statement to make - especially in France where insurance companies will spend more than the value of a claim just to avoid paying out on the claim:rage:
You won't be unplugging anything with your last sight of the car being winched onto a depannage camion after some chav in a Golf R has got in your way high tailing it on the outside lane of the A10...best always imo, tell the insurers everything, especially where you have 67k€ at stake:fearscream:

I hope you mean you took the option of the RS7 discs - RS6s are too shallow...
How much was the total? A pity you did not support Tom Wrigley who makes the same kit and is a site sponsor...

You can not declare anything to insurance ! as a rule, there is never a search, except for multiple fatal accidents .

Yes, I know, I had contacted on E-bay.uk for the front brake kit, but delivery included in france, it cost me 3600 euros (conversion fee included), my conversion ceramics cost me 5200 euros .
And for the rear kit , I buy at Awesome GTI . Brake discs , pads and kit cost me 900 livres sterling , inclued shipping . Is around 1066 euros .

That is good price to include shipping. I have not heard of Awesome GTI, so well spotted! I think it is cheaper than Tome Wrigley's price!
Pity you did not buy it last week - with their crazy Brexit, it would have been 960€

Apologies - it is me being cynical towards youngsters in Golf Rs who give me a hard time. I use the A10 as it is an autoroute I know well being your drag into Paris...

Now that older Golf R is getting more affordable, it seems to me - in France anyway - that it is the car of choice over the Imprezza for the young now, and it seems that they target me to 'have a go with them' to the point they dance around me trying to goad me into one of their races. I have a clip from my rear dashcam of one weaving behind me no more than a metre from my rear bumper when I had my cruise control locked at 138kph... I cannot find it just now, but will post it when I find the card (why are these SD cards getting so small..?!) I really fear one day one of them is going to cause an accident.

No luck, that would have been even better, but I ordered them in July .

The A10 motorway, goes to Orleans, Paris is 1 hour drive .
I see what you're talking about , and of what type of youth also .

Very impressive modifications! Very thorough.

I had an 8L S3 which I had modified extensively - brakes, suspension, cooling and engine map. In my experience that is pretty much the order that cars should be modified in to get the best result. However most people just stick a map in and nothing more.

If you're not tracking a car then a map is a very simple and affordable way of releasing some extra straight line performance. Brakes can be very expensive to upgrade. Personally, I don't need them and the standard brakes are fine for road use.

Having done all the above I found the bakes and suspension actually made the most difference to fast driving, even on a road.

Better brakes delays the point of commitment, better suspension allows you to carry more speed. Extra power gives the biggest feeling of increased performance, but it only counts when accelerating (naturally) and you need to do less of that with better brakes and suspension. :)

I'm the same, brakes + suspension transformed the car from very good to great. Well played having such a well sorted car.

If you want to take full advantage of the upgrade, braking and suspension improvements are essential .
It all depends on your use, but I feel more secure with the brakes .
