Has anyone had alloys powder coated while having a car on PCP and had any issues upon changing cars?

Unless they're diamond cut, or you coat them in a colour other than the stock silver, I can't think why they'd worry about it...

The standard BE alloys. I was considering getting the inners coated in black

Excuse the horrible picture

If your powder coating skills are up there with your photoshop skills, then they might not like it. A change from grey to black spikes is pretty subtle though...

I would go anthracite/charcoal grey instead of black... Classier but with a higher contrast than stock

When I picked up my S-line I asked about whether I'd be allowed to get the grille and window chromes wrapped in black and the wheels painted grey/black and the sales guy said yeah that wouldn't be a problem at all. (The black edition wasn't released when I got my car).
He said they only really get worried if you slam it to the floor or mess around too much with it cosmetically.

My wheels are the standard ones with diamond cut faces.
I'm certain you'd be fine with what you want to do. I think if you went purple or red then you might have issues, but grey or black would be fine.
Maybe email your sales guy and then you've got it in writing for when it's trade-in time.

My personal preference would be a dark grey or anthracite instead of black as I think they look classier. That's just my opinion though.

Yes I had my wheels painted on my skoda octavia vrs whilst on pcp to gloss Black from diamond cut anthracite.
(kerbed to ****)

Skoda themselves did it as a good will gesture
(After a botched repair)

I asked skoda if that would be ok and they said yes!

As long as they arent painted in a color too garish or dissimilar you will be ok

Thanks for all the replies, I'll either get them done in gloss black or anthracite grey depending on how @JDHOWELLS wheels come out!

Some good photoshop, I hope mine look like that when it's back from body shop.

Here's a photo dealer sent me before going to get her wheels sorted.

P.S. Just been watching a few of your videos

I went into the Wheel Specialist for some advice on how they would go about refurbing my wheel l kerbed the other day ....no problems it only needs a slight milling of the outer rim,l then asked him about painting my new cars alloys ....he said no...its not worth it due to warranty issues,if l did decide to go through with it,they would need to respray the full wheel then re-mill all the diamond cut Facets .....l will just leave them as Audi made them....for awhile

I wonder what warranty issues it could cause?

Just thinking, would that not only be the case if you had taken out wheel and tyre cover?

19"s transform the look of the sportback mate.....get it 1st on yer do list....well worth the investment.....or straight away try and sell the cars wheels plus tyres...with minimum mileage on them to offset the price of a set of 19"s....Ebay is your friend

I really like these but just don't know if I'd feel comfortable driving on a set of copy's instead of genuine ones. Especially when I drive a 800 mile around trip once/twice a month

We both have the same predicament mate....but in your case you'll get at least £1100 for your wheels/tyres....easily....buy a set of OEM 19"s off ebay...for £1500 £400 the difference...same cost of a paint job.......

I hadn't thought of that tbh... not a massive fan of the 19" OEM S3 alloys tbh but they are much better than the BE alloys. I wonder... do those rs6 type alloys come in genuine 19" ?

Now you've got me thinking well.. at least I think it's you and not the desperados

Car is finally back from Body shop and back dealers today so as promised here is the photo they sent me.. also a side by side comparison. From that photo I personally think it looks a lot better and changes the look of the car completely. 2 weeks Thursday and I pick her up and get to have a better look
