Facelift UK RS3 Saloon/SB (400ps) Order Thread...

How much deposit did you all get. Pretty tough, mine was 56385 but still only got 1500 off plus gap for about 300 instead of the astronomical 1030, took several visits and 2 months to get that

Ever since Xenon became available I've always wanted them, so much better than Halogen lights - even the wife has told me Xenons are a must for her!

I have the Dynamic lights on my Golf, so the Xenon version of Matrix (kind of) and they are really good hence why I have ordered them on the RS3 - the LED versions I expect will be even better.

Good video showing the Matrix LED headlights in operation. I seem to drive on lots of unlit roads so I'm hoping they will be the best headlights I've yet experienced :sunglasses:

Xenon version of matrix? The RS3 has LED as standard.

The Golf R only had Xenon's but has something they called Dynamic Light Assist which did a similar thing - using the shutters in the headlight to block out areas rather than multiple LED's - like when a car was in front it would block out the car but light up either side (like a full beam), movement looks more flexible with the LED's.

Check from around 1min in on this video

A gimmic but very useful and cool one :smile new:

The LED In the RS3 should be better, well they best be!

You did ok. You can get around 2k but you would be waiting until Jan18 before you get ya mitts on it.

golf r has led dynamic lights, presumably same as audi led matrix lights

Latest facelift model (you know now that everyone does facelifts!!) has LED, mk7 original was Xenon still which is what I have.

mines from the dealer as I'm an existing customer. 2nd audi, wife maybe getting a car too

This will also be my 2nd Audi, mine is coming from the same dealer that I bought my 1st Audi from. The thing is, I'm handing an RS Q3 (or will be when the RS3 is ready!!) back to them, having had problems with it. Consequently quite a special deal has been negotiated and it wouldn't be fair to folk out there who've received little or 0% discount to reveal what discount I've been given.....

I'd have had £1000 discount if I'd used my original dealer, but I couldn't have used them for an Exclusive Colour.. was a tough decision.

Why couldn't your original dealer get you an exclusive colour? They ain't painting it, they're just submitting a build request to the factory like whichever dealer you have gone to...........

Didn't go into detail because quite a few people on here know anyway. They could have ordered it, but they wanted a 20% deposit due to company policy which was £12,000 upfront and too much for me. It's a shame, they are outstanding and got me 12% discount on my S3, £4000. Instead I'm traveling 80 miles up the road to a dealer that doesn't have much enthusiasm or interest to help, oh well.. the car will be right.

I would suggest the last thing we want will be a discount, that's only going to hurt values.

Very little discounting on PFL with just a little bit it appears on the FL if you are in right place at the right time*. RS3 is usually a limited run so can't see any reason for dealers to discount them imho.

I asked for a discount, the salesman laughed and said he asked and it was a clear no. I was having one of their allocation of 4. He said if I didn't buy, somebody would walk in after me and have it.

The video link below shows (briefly) the RS 3 saloon with the Sportback wheels.

FYI,
Mythos Black
Titanium rotors
B&O
Folding dimming mirrors
Sports Exhaust
Privacy glass
TPWS
Hill hold
Reversible mat
Extended leather
4yr warranty
Price 49k, 11k down (including dealer 1k), 48months, APR 6%, GFV 23k, 7000miles a year, monthlies are £456.
Not too bad.
If I get it in Sep I'll be gobsmacked !!
The S3 is 3.5years in to a 4yr deal, the monthlies were £430 based on APR of 9.6% !
The Audi finance interest rates now are so much better, although they do go down to 5% and lower but not on the RS3, I tried !!

The boot mat seems pretty popular :grinning:

Guess the ceramics were never going to be :sunglasses:

Hey, maybe I'll get to retain more value as mine'll be more unique :smilingimp:

You'll be known as "the fool that had more money than sense getting ceramics". Although at least you have removed the speed limiter option - that is pure crazy.

my dealer has an allocation of 5 saloon plus 5 sportback. Apparently they'd already sold 5 saloon and 3 sportback so got a saloon allocation from another dealer. Who knows if that's true. It was s firm no re discounts but I don't like paying full price for anything. Got a small discount but only because I'm an existing customer. At that dealer they said i was the only one who for a discount. Who knows if true. I'm putting a deposit of 10k plus s3 trade in will be about 2.5k plus the discount. 56385 will be 589 a month with gmv of 23000 ish. Effectively I'm paying for the options up front plus a small deposit so I'm in little or no neg equity from day 1 plus monthlies are sensible. My s3 is also on 3.5 yearsof a 4 year deal and I'm paying 522 a month. Do I'm getting the rs3 for 60 a month more. My s3 deal ends in March 2018 so id have to pay 17k to keep the s3 anyway. The s3 was about 41k and 36800 after discount. 4k deposit with 522 a month over 4 years.
for me I needed to put a big deposit as I have so many options. Holding deposit is 2k though

Rightly or wrongly I prefer to buy my cars outright. As a rough calculation, if it's a good car, it'll be worth 50% after three years and ironically 50% of that figure in another three years. Obviously more depreciation whilst new, motoring costs ya.......... We drive what we can afford - and that includes folk who finance their car.

If the interest on having a loan was less than what your getting from the banks on your savings, then I'd go that route.

My magnetic ride isn't showing on my tracking system? Is it called something else maybe? It's just showing RS sports suspension.
Any ideas people?

Checked with the dealer an hour ago on the phone who assures me that it's on the audi system but for some reason not showing on my tracker.
Not much more I can do other than hope it's on when it arrives.

Just checked again and mine has the standard RS sport suspension, then a line for break pad wear indicator then the Magnetic ride under that.
Just search the page for suspension, should get 3 matches.

Mag ride not showing has been mentioned before, it's the same on mine. See the first page of the RS3 Sportback delivery date thread and Syzygy, very cleverly, found a way to check by using the myaudi pages code

My dealer had 4 sportback and 3 saloons I am sure it was. I was the 3rd I believe making it 1 saloon and 2 sportbacks ordered.

There will be no official discounts, some people will get something but would be more of a dealer contribution for return customers, contacts, previous issues or sometimes just a little bit of luck.

I was asked what deposit I wanted to leave, they suggested £1k after I asked whats the norm - which was fine with me.

I would need loan of over 40k if financing it, few if any banks will fund that. I'd rather do pcp and invest the money I'd spend on the car

That's great it worked thanks. The only thing I can't find listed is the seat stitching colour? Any ideas?

£1k is a low deposit, your payments must be high?
