Have been wondering what the main age range is for an Audi A4; I've been hounded saying I'm not old enough to have one yet! I personally love the look and because I've gone for all Black with 19s etc it looks the business!

Saloon or Avant and reasons why?

21 from Wilstead, Bedfordshire.

Perhaps it also might be useful to say if you've a family? Obviously being in the large family saloon class that might be a major reason for the purchase. I purchased a four door because at the time I occasionally carried an elderly relative but now that need has unexpectedly gone. I have my eyes on a TT roadster for my next Audi...

71, Lincolnshire, Saloon (don't need the extra space of an estate), no family.
(so far...looks like you ARE too young!)

32 - Hampshire, young family. Got fed up with running out of space in the A3 hence the Avant.

Having said that, a friend just picked up his new Tiguan.... Same price as my Audi and has more toys.. might be the next one for me!

44 - Warwickshire, just me, the wife, teenage son and a small dog. On my 8th Audi, all A4 Avants except my first Audi, which was a saloon. On my 3rd S4. Don't need the boot space just like the Avant look over the saloon. Didn't want an A3 bit small and A6 too big. Fell for S cars after watching Ronin
And getting trounced by an RS2 when I had a celica GT4.

34, Surrey. Switching up from my 3 door A3 to a new A4 Avant.. need the extra space with the arrival of our first little one. Kids come with a lot of stuff to carry about!

48 Wiltshire. S4 avant. I just like the avant shape but IR comes in handy for fishing and my sons ridiculously sized cricket bag

I live in Liverpool I don't bother buying one I rob other people's.

48 . South west. S4 avant. Bucket list to have a v6 petrol.. Wanted s5 SB but elderly parents can't get in and out w/o hanging onto windows (no door frames). Arrives soon - I hope.

43 from Norfolk. Coming from an S3 Saloon as just acquired an extra dog to the family so definitely need the boot space of the S4 Avant!

32, previous car was a s2000. Only reason for the switch is because I now have a 4 day old baby!

What's your reason Brandon if you don't mind me asking? 21 does seem very young even if the A4 does "look the business". Shouldn't you be more interested in some little fast hatch or nimble sports car?

I don't know really; fancied something different.
I've had so far;
A 1.4 Corsa SRI
A BMW 2 series Coupe
& what I have now a A Class AMG Night Edition
I fancied something other than a hatch and I love the Audi's.

37...just. From Lincolnshire. Just ordered the Avant Black Edition. I need the avant cos I have two kids and the wife insists on taking half the house every time we go somewhere.

On a side note. My wife absolutely hates the look of the car.

34, Aberdeenshire, two kids. To be honest space wise the S3 I had previously was OK but the car was boring. Next step up was obviously an S4 and went for the Avant (both times) for both looks and practicality.

So far then I am quite young haha

To be fair, when I was 21 I couldn't afford a moped let alone a new Audi A4! That's probably part of the reason why there aren't that many young people here I'm guessing ... nice work !

32 from Kent, A4 Sline Avant, Just me and the dog, This is my third new Audi, Previous was New Q5 S-Line, previous to that was Audi A6 Saloon S-Line TDI.

26, Hampshire, BE Saloon as it looks better :whistle2: was looking at a TT or an S3 again but the interior of the A4 was much nicer (plus bigger is better so ive heard) and couldn't quite stretch to an S4 .... next time maybe

63 from Norfolk, S4 Avant because of the 2 cocker spaniels. Had to go back to an Avant from an SQ5 for 2 main reasons, SQ5 was a real PITA to get in the garage and being a true Yorkshireman by birth I could not let the custom dog cage I had in the RS4 go to waste.

65 next month from rural Cambridgeshire. Just me and the missus. First saloon after many years of SUVs (4 Kugas, 2 Q3s and a Q5) luvvin' it at the moment!

29 and from Fife ( Scotland ) . Ordered an S4 avant. Just me and my wife + dog!

I just prefer the estate look... I also like the idea of having a fast practical car! Oh and it needed to be a petrol

31 - Aberdeen. Went for an S4 Avant as I have a wee boy and a dog so the extra space is really useful. And it have some power too! Also like the fast Audi estate thing...

66 and from Hants/Surrey/Berks borders. Just me and the Trouble and Strife. She wanted something with better ride quality than the A3 SB and I wanted greater load carrying space - not for work but for just everyday family things such as taking garden refuse to local tip, helping sons to move flats, accommodating substantial luggage when another son comes to visit from the States with his wife, taking my bike to different locations to try new routes. I was also impressed by the standard spec on the s line and when I bought mine there were some good offers around.

I'm 25 mate, don't worry! To be honest I just needed to save some money having bought a house and the BE is/was leasing for Golf money.

It's the best car available at that price for quality and tech.

39, South London/Surrey. Me, wife, an 11 year old and a 20 year old (but she has her own car now). A4 saloon on order. Have an SUV currently so briefly considered the Avant, but the extra money for the amount I'd use it made it not worth it. Plus I prefer the look of the saloon.

28, Taunton - no family just me and my fiancé. Best car I've owned and definitely the envy of all my neighbours!! Ibis white S Line saloon with 19" titanium alloys and an additional £11,000 of extras.

43, Glasgow. A4 Avant BE on order. Wife, kids and 2 dugs! Handing back A3 Sportback company car to get something I really want :)

40, Derbyshire, wife (who runs an event business), daughter and large dog means an Avant is the way to go for me. The wife has a Mini so is always borrowing my car to lug her stuff around. I remember getting an A3 in 06, I really wanted an A4 but felt too young for it haha, although the interior did look a lot different in those days and it did look a bit 'old man' like.

Interesting reading and varied demographic! I'm 33, West Sussex with wife and 1 x 10yr old kid! Got the A4 as was (and still is IMHO) best in class for ICE features and roomy enough for family holidays (I tow a folding camper). Was looking at A3 Sportback / Passat Estate too. Company car BIK rates played heavily into calculations and the A4 got me the most toys for least monthly tax!
