I am now a proud owner of an ibis white RS4. Bit of a change from a B8 diesel. My original plan was to get a B9 S4 but when I checked the price of RS4s they were in my budget. So after test driving one I fell in love and had to have one. Luckily I managed to find one with the spec I wanted straight away. So from deciding on a RS4 to driving it away was about 2 weeks.
The car is a October 2014 Rs4 on a 64 plate with 49k miles. Options are
Sports pack
Black pack
Hill hold assist
Bang and Olufsen sound system
Heated front and rear seats
Privacy glass
Folding and dimming mirrors
Advanced key
Audi connect
Convenience pack
Garage door opener
High beam assist
Storage pack
Tech pack advanced
The car had a bit more miles then I wanted but it's just had new discs and pads all around, stronic oil changed, brake fluid, service and MOT. I will only be doing 6-8k miles a year. So should be low maintenance for a while. Also was cheaper to insurance then my old diesel.
First thoughts after doing about 100 miles. It's a fantastic car. Easily cruising on the motorway on the way home, had a 2 hour drive back from the Audi dealer. Accelerating off roundabouts is addictive. The noise abouce 3-4K is amazing. Took it easy to start with as didn't want to have an accident or get a speeding ticket. This is the most powerful car I have driven so giving it some respect and car. Managed 25mpg on the way home. So not bad. Not really played with any of the extra gadgets yet but the sound track of the v8 is all you need.
Only bugs so far is that the hill hold assist is not remembering being on. Having to press the button each time I get in the car. So not sure if this is an isssue or not. Also noticed the windscreen doesn't have the sunshade bit at the top like my diesel A4. Have also notice a clunk when you are slowing down and when you switch from auto to dynamic mode. So might be the exhaust flaps. But will see how it goes before taking it into my local to look. As it's an approved used Audi I get 12 months warranty.
On Friday we are going on holiday to France. So that should give me time to really get us d to it. It's about 600 miles of driving to get where we are going. Should be really good fun on yet nice flat quite French roads
Will put some pictures up tomorrow. As not had any time to take any.
