Hi all. I'm new to the forums and to Audi. Placed the order on 1st June for my first Audi and now (im)patiently waiting. Went for an S5 as I just fell in love with the new model. I know it isn't for this thread but like others before me, this one seems to be the most active for order tracking.
Checked my status and looks like it's been in QC for a few days now. Just want to see it shipped already lol. I feel like a child again as Christmas approaches.

My car is already at the dealers. My car left the factory at Gyor, status 30 on the 31st of May. 7th of June for status 38. 26th of June for status 39!!! This was to Sheerness. Status 40 on 27th. Status 60 on 30th. Status 70 on 3rd July.
Nobody can explain why it sat so long at Emden. But on this thread there are examples of a few days to Sheerness and a whole month! Supposedly extra QC checks at the port can desequence the car. Also after I kicked up a stink they put a priority on it which seemed to have the side effect of causing the YourAudi tracker to see the order as cancelled and could no longer track it.
Tracker says mine is now at Sheerness (Status 40) - that's about 18 days from start of BW25 (19 June). Now the tricky bit. Moving house on 12 July to new place about 375 miles from dealer. Dealer thinks it's unlikely to be ready to collect before I move. So, do I travel back and drive it up north myself or do I get them to transport it north on a trailer, which they have offered to do for free? Ordered car at end of February and thought process would take 12 to 14 weeks, i.e. well ahead of move.
Jeezus, mine has only just moved to status 30 so if I have same issue as you I've got a long wait ahead. Thanks for the info though.

Is this strange? I know the actual build week and statuses can be somewhat out of sync however, I'm not due to start build until Monday coming (10th)
Thursday was Panel shop
Friday was Paint shop
Today I'm showing status 30 Quality control and I checked the JSON output and I have a VIN number. Am I lucky or is this normal? How long will I be in QC?

Status 30 is not quality control. Can you check that again?
The statuses of 21-24 are fake and auto generated by your build week and always start on a Thursday. But if your car is at the front of the queue for the build week the status jumps. Status 30 is the first real status and means the car has been built and on its way to the port.
I am sure there is a QC process but the crappy your Audi tracker doesn’t give true visibility of what’s happening in the factory!

Hmmm. If you notice status 24 is on 10th July which is in the future !!! Maybe check with Audi online chat what the real status is

I have but nothing can be done as it needs to be 14 working days before it becomes a priority. Only been 3 ships to Tyne since my car arrived at Emden so imagine the back log must be pretty high. Others two ports have more sailings.

My car was built and arrived very quickly. If you want to see a fast turn around check out my posts a few pages back.
Even though I was impatient I had a fast turnaround - what I would describe as a quick but not the fastest but probably the average. So if you follow my timeline you will get similar I imagine.

Collected: 4th July (but potentially could have collected over the weekend if my dealer did weekend pick ups)
At Dealer: Order status 70: 29th June
In the UK: Order status 40: 27th June (but arrived in port on 24th but over the weekend status didn’t update)
On boat: Order status 39: 23rd June
Left factory on way to port: Order status 30: 14th June
QC: Order status 24: 12th June

Nope just checked now, still 30. Yours moved to 30 a day before me. Spinstorm's status took 9 days to move to 39 so hopefully you're right about tomorrow.
My dealer called on Friday and said I'd be able to pick it up w/c 24th July, he was very confident about that.

thought I'd join in the fun on this thread! A6 was ordered through a very helpful broker/dealership on the 8th of June. Dealer amended a stock order due for build week beginning 3rd July. Build started the Thursday beforehand and left the factory with status 30 on the 6th. Just seen now it's at Status 38 so has reached Emden.
Everything gone swimmingly so far, hoping it will get on a boat to Sheerness quickly but know I may still have a fair old wait on my hands! All good fun though...

My build week was also meant to be from the 3rd July. The tracker shows it started the Tuesday before (27th) but it's still showing status 24 nearly two weeks later.
I feel like it's a bit in limbo at the moment.Hi
Thanks for the update, my contact at the dealership is on holiday till 19th July.
He expected that car would arrive early Aug- based on build date of 3rd July.
But clearly the cars are built early and shipped out.
Will be good to get cars in Week of 24th.

I have a strange problem with my order for a new Audi A3.
The car was ordered in April and the build started on 8 June, so far so good. However, things then deteriorated rapidly. The car achieved Status 30 on 14 June and supposedly left the factory on that day. I kept watch for a change in status but after 21 days I started to get concerned because I could not believe it could take so long to get on a ship.
On the 5 July I contacted the dealer but was assured that the tracking system had probably not been updated, which he said happened a lot. He suggested that I leave it until the end of the week when, if nothing had changed, he would chase it. The next day I read this thread and noted that nobody else had waited three weeks for shipping or had their car effectively lost. I therefore had a live chat with Audi UK who, after a reminder finally came back to me and said the car was in QC. I asked how the car could be in QC when it had supposedly left the factory but received no credible answer.
The next day I contacted the dealer again. He said he would find out what was happening and come back to me. He phoned me later and told me that Audi had told him that a batch of cars had been sent for extra QC inspection and my car was one of them. I told him that I did not believe that and how could a car that had left the factory now be in QC. He suggested that it may have left the Inglestot factory but transferred to the factory at Emden, near the port. When I again expressed disbelief he said that was what he had been told by Audi and that he had no means of contacting the factory directly. He told me he believed I would still get the car around the end of July because as soon as the car was released from QC he would ask for priority shipping.
It is now nearly four weeks since Status 30 was achieved but there is still now sign of the car having been released from “extra QC”. I find the whole story incredible. Has anybody else had a similar experience?

Thanks for that. It looks like I am suffering from the same special treatment. I find the fact that a car can leave the factory bound for the port and than be required to have more QC very strange. I suppose I will have to give it a day or two more and see what happens.
Mine left factory last Monday, or at least that's what the tracker said, and today that updated to status 39, on the boat.. is that quick? I dunno..
