Factory Order ** Black Edition **

Hi All,

I just placed an order at the weekend for an A4 Black Edition 1.4T S Tronic (150bhp) With Tech Package, Interior Colour Lighting Pack, Full Rotor Grey Nappa Leather in Metallic Mythos Black with Debadge rear. 12 weeks lead time; does anyone know if this is about right?

The dealer has yet to have any B9 Black editions due to them being so new, i cannot for the life of my find any online either; they have the 19" Rotors so would love to see what it looked like.
Has anyone else got one on order?

Hi and welcome!

Like you I'm new here and also placed an order for a A4 1.4 Black Edition about a month ago without seeing one. I got mine in white with no extras as mines a lease car and only having it for 2 years.

When I was in the Audi dealership I was shown the car as I spec'd it on the large screen with some fancy videos showing it driving along with the inside shots. I took some photos of the screen and also took some pics from the website of my build code. I'm still waiting for them to start building mine, showing a start date of 17th July. I can't wait and I keep driving the Mrs nuts going on about it as its due in middle of September.

Here are a few pics I took along with the ones off the build pages of what the car is going to look like.

Thank you for the welcome! I can't wait, its my first Audi (currently driving 13 year old BMW E46 V6) and first ever new car.

You will love your new Audi, they are a Joy to own and drive. The finish quality is really good. As for it being your first new car, all I can say is all good things come to those that wait. :)
 
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I have a deal in place for a new A4 BE, but I am waiting for two weeks until I get my 24hr test drive done on the engine I will probably end up going for - want to make sure I am happy before I sign the dotted line!!

Surprised to see no one has mentioned the BE only colour of Quantum Grey - does this not interest anyone?? I appreciate it is a flat paint, but it will be unique to the BE which is a good thing.
 
Thanks everyone- I'm currently in a 2015 Mercedes A Class Night Edition; the PCP ends in September.
I cannot wait- the middle of September seems a long time away haha. I'm entertaining myself watching YouTube reviews and walkthroughs.
I went for the all Black look; the 19s look stunning! with a contrast on the rotor grey nappa leather:)

Mine was an eight digit number beginning with a two

Ask your salesman for the tracking number if it's not there
 
I'm also in the same position in that I ordered a Manual 1.4 BE as part of the recent lease promotions. Returning to Audi after some time in a range of other cars, I had a 58 A3. Hoping the A4 keeps me happy for my two years, stepping out of my M235.

I went with the no cost Rotor Grey Leather/Alcantara, has anyone seen this in the flesh ('hide' seems more appropriate!)? I can only find examples of the Nappa online.

He originally came out with it being £513.00 with no extras; i made him earn his due i think. haha.
 
Thanks Brandon. I was actually meaning JAG_A4 (wouldn't let me quote) as his order would be like mine but thanks for the info. You've got lots of extras so is hard to compare with my offer.

Sounds great Brandon and 12 weeks is about average. Great spec too! I ordered mine this week too in white and although they are quoting early November I'm hoping late September / early October :)

Hopefully local dealers will have some in soon for a proper look!

Funny how a matter of days and they give 2 quite different delivery times; strange, I'm hoping for more the end of September myself; I think I will have drove everybody mad by then
I just want to see a UK Spec Black Edition; I have trawled the web with no prevail.

Not sure about it myself - quite a fashionable shade, but I think it will date quickly

You can't get the BE with these alloys. Could it be an S Line with the extended black styling pack?
 
I was going to say those alloys are not an option; I am yet to see what I think is a UK Spec BE.
Question; in the configurator you see the black trim, eg side skirts, spoiler; are these the standard bits just painted black or added on the BE, I was hoping that back spoiler was going to be a bit more prominent than one on an s-line.

I was in Audi a couple of weeks ago and they had a (or I was told it was a black edition) black edition saloon that had these alloys. But thinking about it now I don't think it was as it didn't have the Alcantara seat, just part cloth and leather so maybe the dealers are getting the black pack and black edition mixed up.

My dealer said that currently there are no BE B9 in the UK at all.. I'm thinking all these ones we are seeing are cars with upgraded 19s and the black pack.

Same, the dealer when he put my order in a month ago advised that I was one the first BE to be built in the factory, hence there are non in the show rooms etc the moment in the UK.

What is your rough delivery date.. I placed my order on saturday just gone and got w/c 25th Sept.

How long after ordering do you get an order number so you can track online etc?
 
Hi Brandon,

My order was placed on the 12/05/17 and construction is set to start on the 17/07/17. It shows no delivery date but the sales chap said in a video he sent me that it was going to be around middle of September.

I got my order number 10 days later after asking for it from the sales chap and then an official email from Audi 3 days after that.
 
Hello chaps,

Ordered my Black Edition 1.4 S-Tronic on the 24th May showing a build week of w/c 21 August seems longer then most of you guys although do have a couple of options, tech pack with VC, adaptive sport suspension, extended interior light package, all rear de-badged and B&O so maybe has something to do with it guessing 3rd week of September delivery but of course hoping a tad earlier :D

If you ordered middle of may and are getting middle to end of September, that makes me feel my dealer has been quite generous with my w/c 25th September as I only ordered mine on the 1st July.
More realistic to expect 14-16 weeks then? :(
 
I was told the same 3 months by my dealer but considering its due to start build 3 months after the order date i cant see it being delivered for another 3/4 weeks after that so would say around 15 weeks from order to you is more reasonable however its abit of a guessing game to be honest. some wait at QC/ Docks for 10+ days some fly through in a day or two.
 
I sooooo badly want Audi to sell the 190 TFSI in Quattro variant. Looks like it will be TDI then! Surprised at the length of delivery dates on a few of the above cars. I will be ordering in two weeks time/end of July, and was hoping for the start of November handover. I will have some extras added in, so do you think the handover date will be realistic?
