I tried enabling the speed limit camera and got an error in the cluster that stated a fault. What needs to be enabled to get the speed limits posted in the gauge cluster? Do you need special modules or just enabling more than one adaptation?

I have the prestige model which in the US is essentially the fully loaded version with tech pack.

I made all 5 of the listed changes, and it still doesn't work. I now have a different error. IMG 0368IMG 0369

You get the error, but TSR still works. No one has yet worked out how to stop the error from appearing shortly after startup.
There's another thread with all the info, but as per usual can't find d it when you want to :).
Have a drive around and see if the signs are still recognised.

I've tried driving around. It still doesn't work. Is it possibly the last piece where I unchecked the box?

I'll check mine in a couple of hours. It did seem counter intuitive to turn something off, but those steps are what I wrote down when I made the change. Will find the other thread. The only other diff is that I have VC.

I have the traffic sign recognition on my UK spec MY15 S3 that came activated from the factory, I can check the coding if it's any help?

I'm in Australia. It works here as our signs are very similar to European traffic speed signs.
I've read before that it doesn't work in the US, as your signs are a different type. Apols, couldn't see info on Tapatalk to tell where you were coming from.

I know other manufacturers have cars that show the signs, so I imagine there's a way that it works, just can't figure out how.

Which hardware/camera does the system use out of interest? Seeing what you need to spec in the UK to get this or if it can be enabled

Thanks!

It uses the lane assist camera in the top of the windscreen

I think it uses the front camera that is used for adaptive cruise, and lane assist.

Yes just the lane assist camera on the windscreen. The ACC only uses the radar sensor underneath the grille.

Cool thanks all! I only have the HBA sensor up there so it's a no go for me then

I get the error about it being restricted when I'm off public roads / in a field. I don't know if it just knows I'm not on a road because of sat nav or the camera can tell it's not on a road though.

I followed the pictures instructions and it works but not properly. I see the state highways as a speed limit but no other signs work.
