Not sure how to feel about this. A company on Facebook have confirmed to me that they can get crackles out of the PFL S3 as they have the available software. They say not a lot of people have the software in the UK.

They've proposed £350 for a stage 1 remap including crackles and dyno. Figures of 350bhp with a 30% torque increase. They've got good reviews online, however very recent. They've managed to get crackles out of all sorts of different cars.

As this is unheard of to me, naturally my instinct is to think this is all too good to be true? If any members want to PM and see if I can source more info I will be happy to do so. If all promised is true I can imagine a lot of happy PFL owners.

Not naming the company as I'm not shaming, just interested in hearing thoughts to be had from other forum members.

Someone here had a video about a month back with crackles and pops from (what if I remember correctly) was a PFL

Sounded a bit too extreme and silly though if you ask me... was a bit too much / even more than a factory RS3

I've spoken to a few tuning companies who have said it possible, they just don't have the software for it.. i'd love to know the company if you wanted to privately message me, as i want it done to my car.. :)

Haha! i love it but im sure it wears thin quite quickly.. oh well... only one way to find out
It would be cool... if you could turn it on and off as and when you wanted... I definitely wouldn't want it like that all the time :D

I think it is mapped only to over-run in dynamic mode, other modes will be normal

I'm tempted to get mine done, the jb4 is great but will never be a true ecu and gearbox remap. Plus having overrun /pops and bangs is tempting

Best thing I done mate was getting it mapped the jb4 is really good for a tuning box had one on mine before I got it done.

Yeah the power is great but I'm noticing slippage from the dsg in some situations and I want overrun lol

I done my gearbox map when I had the jb4 on so didn't do it to me but I do love the overrun

I really like the video stood still but on the drive by I can only hear pops, I was hoping for rs3 style pops and bangs

Has anyone got a resonator delete pipe fitted for the 8V S3?
If so, where did you go for it?

It sounds broken. Yeah, I know I'm the minority here, but... there's only so much attention a four-pot should draw, IMO. This is today's version of "fart-cannons" to me.

I disagree, its the height of good taste to have a heavily turbo'd engine pop and crackle, whats not tasteful is to have a massive exhaust on a small capacity N/A engine, such as a Corsa, or what seems to be very popular a 206 HDi (there are at least 4 of these constantly belching out thick clouds of black smoke where i live).

Also i'd have the unicorn pop and crackle map on my car in an instant.
