So after 3 1/2 years of ownership I've decided to part ways with my A3 and Audi. It's served me incredibly well and I've liked the car a lot.

I've decided on a new Fiesta ST3, fully loaded with all the gadgets - keyless entry + start, parking sensors, cruise, satnav, auto climate, auto fold mirrors with puddle lights, recaro bucket seats and not to mention the juicy 182bhp motor with the over boost function topping it up to circa 200bhp.

I looked around a few other cars like SEAT ibiza's and Leons, VW Golfs etc but they didn't jump out at me.

I had a fantastic deal on the ST that I just couldn't say no to, especially after having found out how much my A3 had devalued :( on more than one occasion.

This is the showroom car, but mine is pretty much identical:

As for my outgoing A3, is anyone interested in:

3dr wind deflectors (Excellent condition) - £15
Aluminium pedals - Manual (Excellent condition) £25
Sport springs - covered 6,000 miles - open to offers
Rs6 18" style alloys - Produced by OZ Wheels (Two wheels have small curb marks) But all 4 tyres have very good tread (£550 ono)

Pics of all items for sale will be posted in the for sale section at a later date, unless anyone snaps them up here first...

nice downgrade

Hm.... you need to understand why the OP has done this before I'd come here telling him he has downgraded :whip:

The Fiesta is an awesome car and spec wise, is far superior over a Sport A3.

Very nice car the Fiesta, I'd love to drive the ST at some point (the new one is ugly, the MK7.5 is faultless) I still miss my EcoBoost.

Definitely makes a statement, very cool looking car. Ignore those who have said you are downgrading, you aren't... you've done what's sensible and you've gone for the next best to suit.

Thanks . Yeah I'd definitely own another Audi in the future, but for the moment I'm over the moon to be driving an ST.

Thanks! It's what I wanted from a car in terms or gadgets and packing a punch. Costs less than my A3. Win win in my eyes.

The pedals are still on the car at the minute. I'm going to get them off tomorrow so I'll upload some pics for you then :)

lol if you say so

Totally uncalled for to be nasty on here towards him, keep your negative thoughts to yourself! :chargrined: If all of a sudden your financial situation changes and you end up in a 'lesser' car I shall be first to gloat.

I was being sarcastic as a joke if you didn't already get that......
We no longer allowed to banter on the boards? Have I missed something?

Thanks a lot :) in all fairness I couldn't give a monkeys about people thinking it's a downgrade.

I bought the car because I liked it. Simple as that really :)

Doesn't quite come across as being sarcastic.

A decent comment and then maybe a "nice downgrade ;) " would come across as a joke.

ok ok....
nice upgrade ;)
wish I had that car! ;)

Just to put the record straight it wasn't for financial reasons :p I've just got a new job and earning a lot more than I've ever earned. So I want to enjoy it as a pose to pumping it into the likes of an S3 say

Sounds good to me, can't say I wouldn't (aren't) putting a lot into an S3 ;)
All is worthwhile when it makes you smile and laugh like it does to me, haha.

I've gone the other way! Went from an ST with 290+bhp to my S3, cracking little cars but I felt it left me wanting more from the car. Loved mine but it was the right time for it to go at the same time

I have a Fiesta ST Mountune 215, with exhaust and intercooler at my disposal, fun little car to whiz around in.
My only gripe are the seats, the shoulder area pinches me forward meaning I crane my neck, I use a kiddie cushion at the headrest posts to act as a support.
Mind you I ain't that tall! Overall the drive is what you get and it does bring back the old hot hatch experience.

The ST Fiestas get such a good right up, so you'll enjoy driving it. I also think they are the best looking Fiesta built to date. Hope all goes well for you.

I am also interested in your aluminium pedals. Please keep me posted. Thanks.

@MA3RC sorry to see you go, but, hopefully you be back. I do like your new car and I wish you health to enjoy driving it, also good luck in the new job. New chapter in your life mark, enjoy to the max. :) x

I think they're a cracking little car & who hasn't had a Fraud Fester at some point in their motoring lives?. With the recent wave of S3 thefts I'd say it's a good way of getting your perfomance fix without the worry of your car being quite so much at risk of being thieved!. :friends::racer:

They're worse than the S3's for thefts unfortunately mate. Literally a 10 second job with them and they're gone :confusion:

I've heard about that, but you can get OBD port locks or something?

Good man. I've spent a few hours in one the other year. They drive exceptionally well and it runs rings around the s3 saloon i've got now.

Yeah once it's up and going it will, like all front wheel drive hot hatches they do torque steer badly especially in wet conditions as did my ST3 focus,it's one thing that really annoyed me that and axle tramping

Recaros. yes, Would love to have some in the S3. Then again I'm not overly built so fit a treat.

I like the ST, but for me it would be white, purely for the ease of looking after :)

No other reason at all needed ;)

If I were buying additional security I'd go this way, costs about £400:

Sorry to see you go mate. Lovely wee pocket rocket you've bought. Looked at one the other day when I popped in local dealer. Guy I spoke to said they are flying out the door! Enjoy.

I was tempted with white, but so far I've had red, silver, white, blue, red... wanted something different to my usual. Plus I'm well into detailing so it'll be a good test of my skills and patience :p
