What size pipe would i need?
Iv got a blanking plate already

19mm IIRC Jason.

I used a piece of rubber hose with a 90 degree bend in it, a 19mm straight coupler and a 90 degree coupler.

And Tony used a 180 degree pipe.

All available off eBay.

So the inside diameter of the pipe is 19mm on both ?.

Yes pal.

I forgot to mention that once the engine cover is back in place you can't see the plumbing!

What pipe did you order @Jason owen ? Been thinking about doing mine as I've already the EGR blanked off and mapped out, if i'm right in saying i'll need another blanking plate to blank off the hole that normally goes into the cooler?

Brilliant I'll have a butchers at my egr when I can. May even drop darkside developments a message see if they do the right kit

aarron it depends on your engine code.. i have a 1.9 tdi (BKE) and none of the ones given would fit mine, nor do darkside do a kit that fits .. i ordered mine from the US

Yeah I'm sure mines a bke as well. Do you have a link for the one that you brought ?

I know they both do the same job but much rather spend more and get the decent forge one

yeah those are the ones .. i got the cheaper yank one and had no problems whatsoever, infact, the cheaper one even comes with the elbow fitting to loop your egr cooler hose whereas the forge one doesnt

At the end of the day it's all down to personal choice and how quickly you want it.....if like myself and several others that are too impatient to wait for it from the states it would have to be the forge one.

Ahh well at least I now know which one to get. Cheers lads

Yeah that would be great, also what blanking was it as I know there's different sizes? You can recall the size at all?

Good day peeps

I have a 2007 2.0 TDI (BRD engine) and am also in the process of doing an EGR delete. I'm trying to keep things as stock standard as possible for the time being, so I'm only planning on installing the blanking plates and doing the EGR delete in software. My question is, referring to the picture, should I blank it off at A (exit of EGR cooler) or B (inlet of EGR cooler, this is my preferred choice). And if I blank it off at B, what influence does it have on C? I know it is part of the vacuum system, but can anyone tell me what exactly is it's purpose?
Regards

Can I ask why you're not removing your cooler completely?
It's a faff to do (because of 1 bolt), but it simplifies things no end.
Sorry I can't help with your blanking plates, as I removed the egr valve , cooler and changed my manifold to a flapless one, removing the vacuum lines too.
