A4 cab roof squeak

Hi, hope someone can help . I have had the screen replace buy auto glass and now it sounds Austin there are mice in the roof , it squeaks like hell ,
if I put my hand out of the window and put downward pressure it does get better .
Question is can the roof be adjusted . To alter the clamp down pressure , if you know what I mean . Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
Care to be more specific on your issue?

What screen was replaced? The rear window? If so, Im assuming the noise could be coming directly from the window making constand squeeling noises with the fabric. If yes, I would say this is AutoGlasses problem to rectify.

If not, we need to find out where the noise is coming from as this should indicate where the issue lies. (Probably a larger than 'normal' gap somewhere)

HI Drstrange,
The windscreen was replaced. The noise is coming from right above , where the sun visors are . There are no water leaks , but I can hear wind whistling from the passenger side as well .

Ah I see.

Ok, then it would appear the noise is coming from the tiny draft like gap between the top glass (from windscreen) and bezel it sits in. (Metal and plastic frame)

I would take it back to Autoglass and ensure they have 'glued' it properly or whatever they do to seal it up.

My Money is on something they have done as I have a cab and luckily have no such issues.

Thanks , I will ring them , I was thinking of going to a Audi dealer to ask a technician first . So as I have a idea of what's involved . Thanks for your input .

No worries.

Unfortuntely my experience with Audi is poor. A lot of them are certainly NOT technicians.

Personally, I would seek out a local VAG garage..but AUDI themselves.
