So is that a full downpipe? If so is it decated or a speakers cat?i bought one of these downpipes, hacked it up to fit my 2wd tho

and got a sportcat from awesome gti some time ago when cheap
That looks about right to what I'm after. I can deal with standard system but that restrictive cat pipe has got to go.Just foitted an 034 to mine, perfect fit. Also fitted the Milltex downpipe that i never bothered to fit when i fitted the rest of the system, fitment of both was spot on, given two non OEM parts.
Im doing this at some point.
Problem is a good down pipe for our longitudinal based engines!
There are ebay companies out there that make pretty solid downpipes for our cars (mines quattro too) but its whether you want to go 2.5'' or 3'' thats the issue. 3'' is overall better but, its such a tight fit it might not be feasable.
Im currently getting quotes for custom exhaust companies to build me one.
Ive been quoted £1000 all in to build a 2.5'' turbo back exhaust (decat) straight through to slim line twin exit back boxes. With 4'' Tips!
£1000 all in jeez
Probably about right for a custom 'zorst
I'm all about bang for buck, hence why I'm after a decat downpipe only.
Full system won't give that much of an increase in power I don't think
must be London prices or something, if you fancy taking a trip to Birmingham I can recommend a few places that should be within £500
I know right! All tuners and after market specilaists ive experienced from North of the M25 are;
Friendlier
Cheaper
And seem to know their stuff a bit better
Yes please, some recommendattions would be very helpful! Ive searched loads some from around your way too so if you've had any experiences with any, please do share.
Yep, willing to travel to Birmingham.
Really? Do you think for a full de-cat system custom, it would be under £1k ?
Got mine done at RJ Performance, right by my house and I'd highly recommend them if you don't want to wait around, stainless steel 2.5 inch straight pipe turbo back single exit on ours £400, no backboxes but would of been same price with them so I'd imagine for your twin exit it'll be around the £500 mark. Finished mine in 2 hours! Here's a link to there contact stuff http://www.r-j-performance.co.uk/contact/
Then there's John Ashley, they do a good job too but will most likely want the car a couple days (which I'm guessing isn't much good for you unless you want to sleep on my sofa haha) http://jaex.co.uk/index.php?route=information/contact
I say you should go turbo back with no backboxes for performance reasons and the fact it will sound incredible, whichever way you go it'll make your foot want to be glued to the happy pedal.

which one are you looking for...Thanks for that. I cant seem to find the downpipe being sold separately anywhere now, also struggling to get a carbonio intake too. guess I'm a little late to the party.
