Parking Illustration on MMI whilst reversing

hello,

I'm new to this. I have a 17 plate Audi A3 Saloon. It has factory fitted rear parking sensors. Whilst reversing it does not have an Illustration on the screen to show how near or far I am to objects I've read through other threads and have realised that it can be activated via VCDS. My question is, is there anyone in the Bournemouth area (Dorset) or Basingstoke (Hampshire) who is willing to activate this option for me

Not just a VCDS change.

Facelift's require a different Parking Control Module.

You had to spec parking plus as an option to get this from the factory - was the reason for speccing it in mine

I had it enabled via VCDS in mine by @leshkin - but mine's PFL.

I believe there are two methods of activating this display within FL cars but am yet to have a car to test with. Until tested I am not going to release any details, but for the moment I will say that its NOT possible via VCDS.

Would happily swap my services for some time with a FL car if anyone would be willing to let me test.

On the subject of parking sensors... the display comes up with the zone, sensor thingy, but it only fills half the screen. Is there a way to make it fill the whole screen?

As for changing the module... yes that is one way of doing it, 100%, but the works and expense involved make the mod a little prohibitive.

I've contacted a rep at Audi and will bring it to them on the weekend.. see if I can blag them to do it! If not then I suppose I'll be back on here looking for someone willing to help

Chances of Audi doing it are slim to non-existent.

The chances of an Audi dealership doing anything VCDS related rests on whether one of the Tech's have a cable and knows what they're doing with it.

Alex I will also post auto scan of alarm module this weekend. Just not had chance yet.

Not as yet. I did meet up with another forum member out of the blue but my ideas at that stage did not work I am currently waiting on my upgraded access to VW to arrive before investigating further, as that way I will have every tool available for testing during a "session". I am currently out of the UK so the package may have arrived without my knowing, but I am expecting it next Monday at the latest. Will know more next week.
