Ibis white, black edition, S3 sportback 8p

Nice thread Jamie.. I will have a proper read once I'm finished work but the calipers was a sweet touch and the stickers on seats look sweet! Here's mine

I have my original alloys ( same as ones on but gun metal grey) covered 30k from new if anyone is interested. Some damage to lacca but no kerb marks ect. Can get pics. £350 for set but will listen to sensible offers.....

Welcome to the forum! Looking good dude from another Jamie with an S3 :rockwoot:

Are you planning on refreshing the calipers now to go with the glossy wheels? I did a refurb on mine last summer and they still look great. Check out my thread http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/my-s3-8p-sprint-blue-build-thread.287935/

I will get round to doing them eventually mate, I refurbed the brembo's on my old Leon Cupra R years back and with just a light sanding down on the worse parts and a few coats of lacquer they came up like brand new. Yours look very nice though. I might get mine done red or maybe leave them black decisions decisions.

Cheers for the comments lev1 but I'm not too sure on induction kits or exhausts as I've not went down that road yet.

Looks great! :grinning:

Be interested to know how you get on swapping the rear rectangles as I need to replace one of mine at some point....

it's a complete door tear down to remove a bolt which take 2 seconds to take off. Get some beer and a warm afternoon and go at it and preempt yourself by saying some expletives just before you start

Sounds a complete pain to do eh. I should have just wrapped the wee buggers !!! That said the B pillars make an awesome difference. They look brilliant

I'll wait for a bit of better weather then I think! If I could I'd probably have done that but mines gone all bobbly in the corner :-(

I've also got the dreaded doors not unlocking from the outside issue to contend with so that will need payed for shortly

Two new Uniroyal Rainsport 3's on the back from Skidz again and only set me back £75 each. Brilliant value for money. Will get two for the front in a few month time. Also getting the door locking issue fixed in the next week or so as well so more money flying out the wallet

Looks nice as well Lev1, I'll be doing the same to mine with the TTS engine cover to tidy things up.

Yeah defo the tts engine cover is next on my list I think. Very happy with the way the revo fits and sounds..

Washed the car today by hand for the first time since I got it and what a difference. Just need the summer to get here so I can polish it to within an inch of its life. Anyway took some pictures afterwards and the light was perfect

I'm from High Valleyfield doogie. I work in Alloa at cambus cooperage though and I sometimes go to Falkirk to go to Skidz or take the Long haired general to the shops.

ah... so it will have been you ive seen.... Will need to get a meet up at some point and scope each others cars out.

Its always good to know theres a fellow tuned S3 owner in the area.

Mines is not tuned, yours on the other hand is red ****** hot. Just read your progress thread and it took me an hour in total fantastic car and good to know there's a brain I can pick nearby

Theres always time mate. hahaha. Yeah of course, if you need any advice on the car give me a shout.. ive encountered most common faults and done most tuning aspects so could give you pointers no problem.

send me a pm and il pass you over my number.

Cheers for that doogie, I'm thinking of booking it into pipe dynamics in Leven for a catback exhaust as my standard system has a slight blow in it just now. They quoted me 420 fitted with lifetime warranty. There's a group buy on just now for magnex but they've not got back to me with a price plus that would need fitting as well so I've a few irons in the fire so to speak

Washed and waxed today, was buffing away till it was grey dark there. No rest for the wicked. Sorry for the poor pics but it's too dark for anything better but at least the water will bead nicely on it now

I used auto glym super resin polish to do it, a bit old school I know but it looks far better than these rubbish iPhone pics suggest. The worst thing about the process was when you apply a white polish on a white car it's an absolute nightmare to see if you've buffed it all off. Is there a polish that goes on a different colour so you can see it better ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking good! I spent the second half of the day doing the same ☺️ and completely get what ur saying about a different colour! I noticed I hadn't buffed it off properly just before

Also you need sunglasses on to save your eyes from the glare. It's like snow blindness

Calipers painted the other day too ☺️

Lev1 you should start your own thread, there's more pictures of your car on mine than there is of my one it's even more confusing as your car is the same colour

sorry mate... Just joined on here as same car haha must say I'm liking your roof racks, think they look boss. I need some window wind deflectors next I think. And must get round to the engine cover too. It's nice to see what your doing with yours tbf. I am considering swapping mine for a c63 merc tho . Not sure weather to make the plunge and get exhaust / remap or put towards a c63 p. S. Sorry for dive bombing your thread hahaha

Had a custom catback exhaust made today at Pipe Dynamics in Leven. Top quality work from top quality guys. I decided to get a cat back exhaust fitted as the standard system had a blow in it. It turns out the ****** blow was on the flexi further up the exhaust but the guys cut out and welded in a new flexi before making the new cat back. I had them use similar tailpipes to the milltek system but 3.5 inch twins instead of the normal 3. Anyway I was much impressed with their work. All Tig welding as well. I will try and get a better picture of the tailpipes in situ so to speak

It sounds excellent Kaine, will need to get some sound clips and a better picture of it. It's a 3" non resonated system. Feel like I'm about 17 again. Lol

Had an issue with three of my doors not unlocking from the outside but you could open them from the inside no problem, my auto electrician guy had thought that it was maybe the module in the drivers door. Thought maybe about 250-300 quid to fix. Well no, turns out it needed three new locking mechanisms and cost 700 quid to fix. Jesus there's times you enjoy spending cash on a car and then there's days like this when it's money down the drain. I had plans for the rest of my cash and now I'm El Skinto. ******
