Took a test drive at the weekend, a few pics from when I had finished, hence the state of it!

I think I am settling on the Navarra blue tbh. Like you I like black and Daytona, but the Navarra is that little bit more 'exclusive' for the a5. Will be going for sportback. Just came back from the dealers, they had both a black and manhatten grey there. Couple of pictures below.

It's an S4 Estate, but I thought S5 potential owners might be interested in how the Navarra Blue looks under strong light

Lovely looking pictures of the s4 was so tempted to buy one but when I seen the s5 and how it's no longer a a4 coupe and has its own from and unique look made me want it, also never been a fan of the v6t badges that grace the front quarter panel

I agree, I do like the new S4 and was looking at it myself, but as soon as the S5 Sportback came out there was no looking back!

The S5 used to have them but now have a cute S inlay. I'm having my V6's taken off...

Gorgeous, thats the perfect colour for the S5 and the boots match up very nicely. What spec did you put in it?

Very nice! Bet those wheels are fun to clean....!

I spent a couple of hours cleaning them and putting wheel wax on when i first got them so they blast clean quite quickly. I imagine it'll be even easier once they're done with the GTechniq!

Great idea. Wheel woolies will be your best friends too!

I'd never heard of these and just had to google! Absolute revelation! Amazon will have them with me Wednesday! Thanks lol

Haha no problem. They're not cheap, but absolutely worth it :)

Might be a bit cheaper from here?

Lovely looking motor mate. Not seen these wheels before and did have the same thought about cleaning them lol. Still cracking looking wheels none the less.

Nice Dan

Same colour and wheels as my Sportback (still a week or so before I get mine!)

I was hoping to take more pictures today but its just been raining all day, will try again next time the weather is good. Good choice on spec Buck, wheels look so nice in person and Daytona Grey well... :hubbahubba:

I'm very impressed with the Daytona grey! It polishes up so nicely and looks so mean! Cant wait to get the Gtechniq done on it.

I was unsure at first with the colour, it was between Suba Blue and Daytona but very happy I picked the grey, overall had the car one week now and the reaction from people has been very positive. Finally installed my dash cam today and took the car for a wash, its still miserable weather here but heres a picture from the front.

I had the Autoglym Lifeshine service thrown into the deal, once it starts to wear off I will go for the Gtechniq stuff, so far the Autoglym seems to be ok.

Car looks great! I hope you're as happy with it as i am with mine. Out of interest where did you mount the dash cam? I want to fit one but dont want it blocking my view. I was thinking behind the display but then i'll need to find a small cam.

Very happy with the car, big change coming from a 1.6l Diesel Ford Focus 06 plate.

Luckily I took pictures and just posted a thread about it: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/thinkware-f770-install-hardwiring.315142/

thought it may be useful for someone as I was trying to find out information before I picked the car up, I've mounted in behind the mirror further up then whats shown in the pictures in the thread (explains why in the post), in the original position you can't see it from the drivers seat, however as I've had to move it you can see it but its not too bad. I have better access to the buttons now as well.

Just picked this up to replace A4 B8 BE. Looks nice but handles like a boat and makes the whole family feel sick when driving and strong smell of burning from brakes. Anyone else experienced similar issues?

Brake smell is most likely just them bedding in.

Which car did you come from? Just querying your comment re handling - it has sports suspension doesn't it?

I would agree the biggest fault I see people have with the s-line models is that sport suspension is a bit terrible and some people are ordering s-line models by speccing it with comfort or the adaptive suspension

Thanks Buck. I hadn't really thought about that but I wonder if it's part of the issue with feeling sick too? Very sharp as to be expected :) still only 700mikes on the clock. I came from a 64 plate A4 s line black edition and have had a few s lines before that. I realised another thing today. The new A5 has a bulbous bonnet and with the seat positioned low (how I like to sit) all I could see was the centre bulb in my view. I wondered if this was part of the issue. Raised the seat position so I could see the sides of the bonnet too. Seems a bit better. Time will tell. Also had a long drive today and realised my inner ear isn't a fan of the sport gearbox mode. It's pretty sensitive and when pulling away from a standstill the front of the car really rises and falls (boaty) I've always had manual shift before so perhaps I just need to get more used to the auto? Normal drive mode on the gearbox is less jollty but more lag. Hmmmm? Guess it's all about getting used to the new set up....

@Jameslawrence - I picked mine up today and drove it just under 50 miles home. Lovely to drive and certainly a lot less "crashy" / firm compared to my VW GTD - the ride was good on a mixture of motorways, A and B roads. No brakes smell either - just that unique new car smell :)
