yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Okay mate that sounds fair of them I guess. So you would get a quote locally, they would agree the price and you would invoice the transport company for your money back?

No transport company will be billed direct from repairer.

Looks like I will be making a few phone calls this morning!

Into paint shop this morning. Status 22. From panel's yesterday, does it tend to fly through to QC then it's a case of waiting on shipping?

Of course, they will be straight up! No idea of when I would expect a delivery though, can't be longer than a few days

Great news! Did they mention how it was being delivered?

hi mate, and no mention of how its being delivered mate but preferably on the back of a low-loader but all was mentioned was preferred dates and nothing to do with how its being delivered.

Great news billy, remember the pictures!!

and of course! it'll be nice because I haven't seen any Mythos Black Sportbacks so hopefully if the sun is shining Wednesday I will be out there getting all its good angles!

Trains go daily between Ingolstat and Emden. If it's a Saloon the it goes by train from Gyor to Ingolstadt and then on to Enden.

Ah okay, mine says 1st December so that'll explain the big difference in build times :tearsofjoy:

Haha definitely! Hopefully mine will come forward, not holding my breath though.

I think I was lucky, the dealer had some slots in build and they just amended the order to get mine in sooner.

Seeing that my build date is 27th March, it's not looking good!

According to the website, 16th October.

I must have been really lucky with the salesman I had then.....I ordered mine, I think it was the 13th of December and I've got the same build week as you Tom.
I did however say to the guy when ordering that I wanted to avoid the new April tax regulations.

But on the other hand, I didn't really push for any discounts and contributions as I was none the wiser...which I regret a little. Reading through certain discount thread on hete I could of potentially saved 3-4k on my car :/

I wanted mine as soon as, I'm hoping to avoid the April tax change as well although I've seen nothing official on gov.uk regarding options being included (only the auto express article) I did get 11.1% off though I think.

You were lucky but I did get £3,000 off at the delearship, free GAP insurance and free Audi Connect for three years! Just a shame about having to wait until April for building to commence

On that new tax stuff... I read an article on Evo.com the other day that also made no mention of options, just the list price of the car. So I do wonder if it's abit of scare mongeri g going on.

Guy from work phoned DVLA and asked and the lady was under the impression it doesn't include options, not sure she was entirely sure though!

Dealer was saying they are in the dark about it too, really..how are they going to know your exact spec of the car being taxed, I'd like to think its list price :readit:

My build weeks still on 20th Feb! My dealers apparently trying to push it forward but don't have any faith in that!

I read somewhere that it would include the options as its apart of the car, and adds to the overall value of the car.
After all..... it was designed in the first place for people that have that kind of money eye to spend, meaning get they could afford to take that hit on the nose.

I'll have to try dig out the link.
But my salesman seemed certain that the options are included, and was one of the reasons he has pushed mine into the queue.
No scaremongering, just going off what I've learnt from others

If that's the case then it's not based on list price but invoice price surely. List price is what the car retails for, not what it sells for.

My A3 Sportback was ordered on 15 November and is still has a build week of 16 January.

From April 1st, regardless of how polar bear-friendly your next car may be, if the list price exceeds £40,000 you’ll be hit with a £310 annual surcharge on top of the £140 annual rate of VED. This kicks in after twelve months, for five years, totalling a £1,550 surtax if you keep your car for six years.

That's my argument, the list price is the price the car retails for so S3 from £32,330, S3 Sportback from £32,950, S3 Saloon from £34,930 and S3 Cab from £40,670.
