When my dealer told me Mid march/Early April I thought it was based off an allocation slot or something, so it's all random?
 
Yeah that's right bud - but that's not to mean your car won't be built in February for example if that makes sense?

Hi nick,once the dealership has your order and deposit they act like they don't want to know.
Until the cars at the dealership and there all nice to you again lol.
Deal with customer services mate,there always helpful and will tell you what you need to know.
Have to say its a long stressful wait fella.But the banter on here will hopefully get you through it.
Any questions you have just ask,guys and gals on here are great.

I was told it would be on my driveway by March 1st so you can imagine how annoyed I was when yourAudi said May and then April for a build time.... June or May for delivery but it should come forward according to dealer. As mentioned though, after the order they don't really want to know :angry:

We both said to be fair we would be happy with the cars being in the UK before new year so that's a plus I guess! But now I know it's on home soil it becomes even more agonising!

Thanks mate, all in all have gone for Ara Blue, 19" V Spokes with mag ride, Tech pack advanced with virtual cockpit, folding/auto dimming door mirrors, super sports seats, hill hold assist, matrix LED's and rear parking sensors :grinning: seems like ages to wait!

You guys will have yours before mine at this rate, knowing mine is at the dealership and that I have to wait for almost 2 more weeks is frustrating as hell. Only positive is my most recent insurance quotes have came down compared to quotes I was getting for around December when I though I would get it.
 
****** hell how comes it's been at the dealership for 2 weeks?! And yours started a week before mine didn't it I think?

@billy.rt its been there since Friday 23rd. Holiday period has went against me and the first transporting date they could give me was the 12th Jan.
 
@Boaby wonder what hope I've got then if mine only got to the docks yesterday... gotta be talking 3 weeks form today till I get mine I would imagine which is annoying to say the least.
 
I would have been tempted to collect it mate I couldn't wait 3 weeks haha
 
You might be ok, about 4 days roughly until it's at the dealer then it could be quick after that. I'm too far away to pick up so have no choice but to wait in a delivery slot.
 
Well I will have my fingers crossed I don't have to wait too long. And that's a massive shame for you having that wait knowing full well it's sat at the dealers...

Hit a status 40 this morning and I've got my fingers crossed it's at the dealers for the middle of next week but with the bank holiday I'm not sure if there will be a back log of cars waiting to leave the UK ports for the respective dealers

Although mine isn't a a3 it may help with holiday time frames

My new S5 hit status 40 on Thursday I spoke to the dealer and they said it can take up to 14 days for it to pass through customs get allocated a delivery truck and be shipped to the dealer

They then called yesterday to tell me the car has arrived at the dealer, and have arranged to pick it up next Thursday

This is Scotland times as the servicing department have the 3rd off aswell

Wow so it was literally in the UK a day then it was transported to the dealer - that's impressive! That's the service I'm hoping for - the car actually got into the UK Thursday but the status changed this morning but if it never got transported to the dealer today it will go the back end of next week I would imagine now

I would check in with thre dealer as my car shows status 40 but the car is at the dealership as I seen it under its protective cover.

I was tracking the ships and it landed in the UK on Thursday so I very much doubt it's at the dealers! I'm assuming they're closed until the 3rd but if they're open I will I've them a call to see!

I have a build date of 9th January and was on the stage of 'we are preparing to build your order' up until yesterday. Just logged in this morning to the YourAudi website and suddenly at stage 7 going through quality control!! Is this an error do you think?

I have the same build date and exactly the same has happened to mine! Although from reading through the comments I'd say it's about 4 weeks from QC to it being with the dealer

Similar here, build date of 16th Jan, just jumped from preparation to qc overnight. I feel like I've missed out on the experience of progressing through the other steps.

However the status code still says 20, but the history is showing up to 24 as below:

That's what I've already discussed with the dealer. When I ordered they said they expected it mid Feb, and would hold it a couple of weeks to put onto a 17 plate if I wanted. Makes sense for the sake of a couple of weeks, it'll feel new for longer I reckon, and probably effect the value at resale a bit too. That two weeks sat in or outside the dealership though, I'll be passing by for two weeks looking for it lol

Mine is on QC now too after a build date of 16th Jan. I think this be some system error though.

I'm hoping to waking up to a status 60 tomorrow morning but i don't know how possible that will be at the moment!

Mine has jumped to status 24 too. 16th Jan build date. Must be a glitch??? (Hopes not) :hushed::tearsofjoy:
 
Fingers crossed. Maybe they worked over the xmas and new year to bring stuff forward?
 
Well the car landed on the 30th so fingers crossed she gets on a car transporter tomorrow morning or Tuesday morning for a weekend collection that'll be sweet!
 
I think especially during the holiday period the myaudi site isn't as accurate as it could be, as my car still shows status 40 on there but I know it is at the dealer and I will be picking it up on thursday
