Well the car's back home, apologies for no pictures but the handover didn't entirely go to plan so I am left feeling a bit deflated, plus the car's prep is not up to my standard.
I am very please with the A4 though and the colour is sublime however although it drives and handles completely different to my previous A3 and this might be something I have to adapt to. The only downer is that the mmi settings went back to default after stopping the car to do some shopping which is frustrating but I've yet to investigate whether that might have been down to an error on my part.
Pictures will follow once I've obtained them from my partner's camera and I have got this weekend's f1 race out of my system...

What happened at your handover @cuke2u? While it is a big moment, as long as the car is ok, the handover is a small drop in the the time you'll spend with the car.

Quite, however I specifically asked to have the handover room a week prior to collecting the car and all the salesperson did was park it outside the showroom, so all the planning with my partner taking photos was wasted. Having said that the salesperson was very thorough and went through everything with me but no freebies were offered, aside from the usual phone cable and just over half a tank of fuel.
The car's prep was also below my standard with the inside of the windscreen not cleaned correctly and I noticed one or two very very light scratches on the boot lid. However my eyes are very sensitive to those kind of things, and as I plan to have the car thoroughly detailed it's not a big deal just that I can do better myself with no professional background...

Well much the same happened in eastbourne with the a3, so I guess I am still waiting for that 'audi experience'. At least I am happy with the car, far far better than the b8 I had as a loaner three years ago..

@cuke2u Sorry to hear you're experience was not what you expected. Glad you like the colour and car! Have to say I was pleased with Tunbridge Wells Audi.

For loosing settings - mine did that after first drive too. Found it was because I didn't press the stop button before getting out. After that saved every time

Annoying about the handover room! Sucks you went to so much prep.
I don't know what purchasing route you've done. Both mine and the misses cars are actually company, but as my misses use to be in charge of the fleet cars / orders and put a lot of business to Audi so they did the handover in the room. But they said it's normally reversed for PCP.

And yeah annoyingly my windows weren't cleaned promptly either, dead streaky!

But as long as your enjoying the car, that's the main thing. Bring on the pictures!

Yes I had a company car / fleet order too, and collected rather than deliver, was very pleased when he pulled it into one of the rooms, and went through everything. Even arranged a tech to come out and talk through the adaptive cruise setting I asked to be set at PDI but was not then fixed it.

I've had 3 good handover experiences with Camberley Audi. 2 in the handover room and the most recent in the showroom. I've had the same salesman for all 3 vehicles and he knows my wife will be buying an A3 cabrio when she retires. I have a very good relationship with him.

I picked up my A4 S-Line only to find that the clip on the N/S mirror wasn't securely fixed in (gap). They didn't give me the private handover room experience, disappointing as my car speced up was £40,595!

They are talking rubbish I have been to my Audi dealer here in Germany and they are in stock and can ordered and delivered within 24hours. The only reason I haven't ordered mine is I'm only planning on keeping the car 12months then getting the new Q5

It's the official message from Audi HQ in Germany to Audi UK. I've seen the bulletin first hand!
And it's the same message as everybody else has been told that's tried to order it in the U.K.! It's ****** annoying as I ordered my car with it, only to have it automatically removed by the factory in Germany for said parts issue! And I'm still waiting to have it retrospectively fitted when it does finally become available!

Welcome and nice Allroad, we'd toyed with one but we needed the car by April / May and Allroad's availability wouldn't have fitted into that, so ended up with a regular Quattro avant, enjoy !

We went out the 3.0 TDi (218). I was lucky enough to find a dealer pre-ordered car so only had to wait three weeks for delivery. Fantastic refinement; though the 2.0TDi was also very impressive on test drive. Both much quieter than the 2.2 in my old XF. Just need the engine to loosen up.

Gone for the 272. Only option I went for was the black roof rails and no badges.
