Random question...has anyone looked underneath the bumper? Was washing the car for sister and decided to have a look...

Poor picture but there's a nice hole

Stuck my arm through and could feel some sort of wiring but no idea what it was for & presume everyone has the hole / gap and not just her car with some missing plastic.

Aside: does anyone know how to put wipers in to service position? I couldn't find the option under car, servicing checks (sure this is where it is in my car)

Dont know about the hole but I might help you with the wiper question, the way I do is switch ignition on (not necessarily turn engine on) and turn it off, immediately when turning off, use wiper for a single swipe and they stay on service mode.

Yes it's the rear and the towbar is a good shout...wonder if the towbar also tucks away and therefore partially in to the gap

Well if you have the towbar there is a removable flap at the bottom of the rear bumper. Assume the flap is not there if towbar not specified?
But the may fit the wiring anyway? The plug swings down.
Surely they don't have everything there and you pay £700 for the towball!

Yeah no flap on the bumper....strangely would've expected the flap and nothing else
