Fog light grill mod

1. Do it like this ?

2. Cut out on the red line leaving the frame only and fill in with honeycomb ?

As option 1 was easy so i went for a quick mock up <br />

If you would've chosen option 2, you would loose the clips at the edge of blank part surrounding fog lamp.
Option 1 is good looking but maybe remove the horizontal bit? You can bring the honeycomb within the frame and would stand out to match the grille.
Like this is fine but behind.
Thought of that honeycomb big sheet off eBay and mod around myself.

I have order a spare grill from ebay to have a play and see what can be taken out retaining the structure and clips...

No , grill pops out with a bit of force and fog light is held by 3 or 4 screws

Did you left it with the cable tie Niedzial or improved the mod?

I've chosen bit of both your proposal's and attempted it myself.

Had no reply from you via PM regarding the leftover of the grille mesh, so sourced the whole sheet from eBay.
Sold remaining to another guy who is going to use it for the same purpose.
