Hey all,

Recently upgraded my RS4 B8 to the new RS6. Wow, slight improvment .

New car lasted about 100km's before the stage 1 APR tune went on. Few weeks later went stage 2 with full milltek non resonated pipes. Lowered on H & R springs. (Will add some pictures tomorrow).

For interested parties. I've used a VBOX on all my cars to see the difference performance mods make.

For the RS6

0-100km/h

Stock - 3.75s

Stage 1 - 3.35s

Stage 2 - 3.00

(All verified using vboxtools.com)

The above times are without the 1 foot rollout option. (Most of the world includes the rollout, but generally not in OZ where I live)

If you want 1/8th Mile, 1/4 Mile, 0-100mph etc...Let me know. I'll look at the data and post an update.

(No QTR mile in that run, road starts going downhill if I kept going)

I should also note that this is on the standard tyres and using 98 RON pump fuel.

Hey mate, I have this one. (Just on a backroad)

10.77 @ 128.42mph

I've run a 10.6 before. But the gizmo stuffed up and won't let me get the detailed data.

I'm taking the car to the drags at the end of the week for some proper runs.

Apologies. My local drag strip decided to combine events. I didn't like the idea of driving a 3 hour round trip to maybe get 2 runs.

So, the next street meet is a few weeks away.

Late response....But here's my tears. The RS6 PE retails for 265k in AUS...with the options on my car....about 285k

Luckily, I've bought a few Audis through my local dealer. I told him when I got the RS4 to keep on the lookout for a demo RS6. He found one 6 months later that had been built for someone and they pulled out of the deal. Car was sitting at the docks with no home. So, I took it for 225k.

Good deal..But still our Luxury Car Tax (33% of anything over 66k) is a killer

Knew it was steep but damn!!

Mate lives in Noosa Bay and what we pay for a decent new car he could only manage a 2 year old one.

And we think it's expensive here.

If he lives in Noosa Bay...he's doing alright...or funds are all tied up in a mortgage.....

I live in a nice suburban area...But still most people think I must be a drug dealer when they hear the price of the car.

Which is what I love most about the car. It's a Sleeper. When it's pop and cracking with the milltek exhaust, people do a double take when looking at it. Thinking "Surely, it's not that wagon making those sounds" To most people its just a nice looking wagon (estate) Not an absurdly loud super car killing vehicle.

He's been over in OZ for 9 years or so. Started in Perth, teaching in the mining community then decided to move to the east coast. Drove from Perth to Noosa towing a caravan and made a holiday of it.
He has a Dr mate in Noosa from back here in Scotland.
He is a behavioural specialist now with a private company but delivers a lot of State Education programmes. He'll never come back. Don't blame him. Kids are settled and love the OZ life, especially the mild winters.
Although he's turned into a wimp as he thinks 18-20 is cold. That's our normal summer temps.

Enjoy the car, you're right in that it a sleeper. Passed a local one to me this morning. Sepang Blue one. If you don't know what they are they blend in very well.
