Hello,

Really want to upgrade my fog lights on my a4 (b8.5) to match the blue DRL light. At the moment they are a yellow light and when the lights come on at night it looks a but pants against the blue DRL. Any anyone upgrades these to match and if so what bulbs are you using? Really want to upgrade but would rather the two lights as closely matching as possible.

Thanks

Been 'speaking' to @t8ups about exactly the same thing, I'll agree the fogs do look pants when compared to the drl . Everytime the 'coming home light' is activate it annoys just a little !
Regarding the fogs, his suggestion is as follows "The Fogs will be ice white halogens, you get the colour, and the beam and no resistors or nothing needed unlike the LEDs" so it is a straight forward plug n play option.

How easy is it to fit these fogs on a A4 B8.5?

Do not want to damage the front trim getting it off.

Very easy. You can just prise the fog light surrounds away from the bumper, which gives you access to the bulb holder. That's held in with two screws. Undo the screws, pull the holder out, swap the bulbs over, screw the holder back into place, clip the surround back into place. If a sausage-fingered ****** like me can do it, any one can, even @scotty76. :)

These are plug and play led bulbs from halfords. They've been in 5 months no issues.

Cheeky but entirely fair and accurate. Disclaimer : I have not done this mod. Your sausage fingered mileage may vary. :D

Got trups ones aswell. Not a perfect match, as a touch more (yellowy - if thats the right word) compared to the DRLs, but look 1000% better. LED white will be the only true way to get a close match if your OCD.

Thanks to Trups for the bulbs. Eventually got round to doing all the lights.

Look a lot better!

Also thanks for the above advise on how to remove it. After watching that YT clip thought the clips would snap - Luckily they came off a lot easier..Phew!

Some better pictures of the ice white fogs
