I'm tracking my build week 37 S line at the mo and it went from prep to panel shop on the Thursday previous to the build week date of the 12th. The tracker now shows the car in quality control as of Tuesday 13th so hopefully it will be on its way soon. Mine was ordered 12/07/16 .
Hope yours joins the line soon!

That's good that it's started early! I've been following a thread like this on the S3 8V forum which people are very active on and their's have all been starting the Thursday before as well - and that's at a different factory.

Finger's crossed the trend follows for my car!
 
It seems that way Will regarding the cars starting a few days early. Mine has shown as being in QC for 2 days now so I'm hoping it's not literally a 'Friday afternoon ' job!! I think the real fun starts once it arrives at Emden; it seems to be luck as to how soon your car is allocated a ship.
I'll update when I see any movement on the tracker, hopefully yours will change tomorrow:)

I ordered the 1.4 S Line 150 C.O.D. In Daytona Grey with dynamic suspension, comfort pack, climate control, heated seats and not forgetting the rear mats! That's a good spec you've ordered there, the S1 really looks the business with the 4 pipes at the back!
For me most of my journeys are short distance so 150 horses will suffice, but it will be so much better than the gutless 1.4 Corsa which it is replacing.

Weirdly it looks like our cars will go to Emden in Germany for a ferry - like all the cars built at their German factory, Ingolstadt. You'd have expected them to get on a ferry much closer to Brussells!

Sounds like a good spec! Hope you enjoy it! Keep us posted with your delivery!
 
Anybody confirm please if this will work on a lex autolease order?
i am putting in the 8 digit order number, the company Lex Autolease Ltd and the lex post code B26 3UY
and it says "Order doesn't match records"
Audi uk have no idea why, they get the same when they try..
 
So ..when should i expect it to show on "your Audi" do you reckon Will?
 
Well mine was literally like two days after order placed and you're obviously past that now so I don't know to be honest, sorry! I can only speak from experience on this.

Do you have a build week yet from your dealer?
 
nope ..its all through Lex Autolease via i work scheme ..so i have to deal with them ..they had to contact the dealer to get me the
Audi order number..
 
Oh I see yea, the dealer should be able to tell you more info than that! Even if all you get it a build week you can pretty much follow the experiences of timings from on here and it will likely apply to your car too in terms of time frames.
 
ok ..so I have found out my car is BW 42 ... but the lady cant confirm if this is to early for it to show on the portal or confirm if it will ever show
up!!
 
Yeah, although the trend is that they start it the Thursday before hand. Once built it's 3-4 weeks to delivery. So within 8 weeks you can expect to be driving it around, which is good! Mine will have been about 12 weeks, I know some who have been much more than that!
 
yeah ..I would happily wait 12 weeks for an S1 .....
 
mmmm well 8 weeks takes it to 14/09/ -Lex reckon its not being delivered to the dealers until 17/09 ..then it needs to be PDI'd
 
The dealers shouldn't take more than 3 days to turn around a pdi as they won't want the car sitting there either!

Mine was shown on the tracker as:
Thursday- Panel Shop
Friday- Paint
Saturday- Assembly
Monday to Thursday -QC
Friday 16th Departed Brussels
I think the tracker gets a bit ahead of itself as the factory is shut at the weekend so I suspect mine was assembled on Monday then went into QC.
It's now status 30- somewhere between Brussels and Emden but at least I can see my VIN now by looking on the "back page".
 
That's pretty good going! I'm hoping mine doesn't take too long in QC, kinda need the car by mid October!

Let us know of any change in status!
 
Any updated statuses, Ian? Arrived at the port yet?

Mine's 4 days into QC, hoping it leaves the factory tomorrow as I can see that mid October collection slipping further away!
 
Hi Will, I had a message on the Audi tracker saying my status had changed on Saturday: had a look on the back page and it is status 38; at the port I presume since Saturday as that's when the update message was.
I'm hoping for delivery by the 12th as we are away on holiday from the 13th for 10 days. Fingers crossed for us both!
 
Finally status 30! Looks like mines been made at Ingolstadt as opposed to Brussels though

i was told BW42 --As it is now 39 does that mean it has been started 3 weeks earlier?
 
Mine went to Preparation exactly 2 weeks before it started to be built - I think two weeks is common, give or take a few days. Although there are some that have been a few days in prep.
 
Hi Will, no change for me but I'm hoping it'll be on African Highway this weekend which is due into Sheerness on Monday. I'm picking mine up from Crawley Audi so I presume it'll be on a Sheerness sailing.
I'm glad to see yours is on the way, the dealer estimated mid October delivery when I placed my order so I can't complain. It's just when you see the car built early hopes start to build up!!
 
I am trying to predict when I will get my car so I can book some time off work to have a play ..
once it is in the dealers for PDI how long roughly before it gets delivered?

Good stuff!! not long now then!

Although mines been stuck at status 39 since Friday and the dealer has said they expect to see it arrive in uk mid next week - how can it take that long on a ship. It just can't can it?!

Apparently no longer than 3 days. But the whole delivery process is so variable, it's hard to pin a date on collection until the car is in the UK.
