Hi everyone,

I'm a new owner of an rs3 8v which has the dynamic pack. Love it. However my question is for anyone who has done this mod to their car or know about it. Is there a huge difference in sound if I get the Milltek secondary cat down pipes.

Appreciate the advice

Thanks

I'd say no in my opinion. But each to their own. I don't have it on my car but I met a guy last week who had and there really wasn't much difference between his and my one.

Here you go - standard vs sports vs sports with decats:

Thanks for the advice mate. Much appreciated

Yep ive got it and personally I think there is a big difference as you removed 2 things which deaden then sound once its fully run in and nice carbon in the new pipe it will sound pretty nice! I definitely think its worth the money mate

Will this change the pops and bangs by any chance? Or does it just make everything louder. Eg louder pops/ crackles. Rests louder.

Are you deaf man (!) listen how loud that 3rd car is ;)

110% better than without the decals. Best value mod you will do.

It changes the sound on full tap and the pops/bangs. Well well worth it.

My car dyno'd at 390. Another chap there with me decat only at 403. Same dyno same day.

Are both cats easily removed? Can they be put back in simply enough for services etc?

I'm assuming it would effect the warranty if Audi were to find out?

Yes they are, miltek secondary cat bypass pipes are installed instead of the cats 5 minute job mate!

But 5 minute job you can forget, it takes more approx from 1/2 to 1 an hour because of the upper bolt and important to have right tools like the u-spanner.

I have the sport exhaust with Milltek Secondary Bypass and I would say there is a huge difference. There are more pops and bangs but you notice it the most when you open up the throttle and the car up shifts, the crack is insane! Definitely worth the £170!

Have any of you considered putting on the full Cat Back Milltek system?

Yes, I have and according to a seller on Ebay most of the catback they sell are non res and if I have understood it right its same/same compared to oem sport, can anybody confirm it? I am happy with this also but more sound wouldn't do any harm. Than somebody in another thread said that every car came with sport exhaust don't remember if it was UK, probably not as the aftermarket should't exist than. Another question is if it needs to remap or something to not damage engine with to lean/little fuel, should be better flow although I know that the downpipe/front cat has the most affect on that so probably, ok?
