So after having owned an A3 as my first Audi for 2 years I decided it was time for a bigger car and have always wanted to have an a5 - which for me is the best looking Audi by far for us normal earning people, haha.

Managed to find a used 2011 sportback with low mileage and all the right options (alcantara, park assist plus, sportchassie and so on..) except that s line exterior which seems to be so rare here.. And now it's time to start freshening it up with new wheels and so on.

What I plan to do:

Tint the Windows 5-10%.

New wheels - no clue what offset and width these ones can pull off yet though..?

Also lower it a tiny bit more with 35mm h&r - not sure how much lower it will go from sport suspension springs though?

Also I really need help finding chrome finished exhaust tips because now they are really just all black and a bit too narrow, I would love the s line tips. I'm guessing eBay have some or the official Audi parts catalogue? Would prefer some to just clip on to be fair.

Hope you all have a great week, I'm spending most of it in my new car just driving around, never been so happy about a car.

Heres how it looks now.

Lovely car, congrats!

1) go for the 20" Rotor set up; 20x9j ET26. Looks spot on, especially with the H&R OE Sport springs.
2) Should give you decent amount of drop. Of course only adjustable springs or coilovers will give you the full flexibility..
3) Can get the chrome exhaust off eBay or from Audi. About £40 I think?

Thanks a lot, will look those up for sure and also ebay for the chrome tips.

Will try to decide wether to go for coils straight away but sort of a huge cost as I need new rims and wheels at the same time haha..

Aj, welcome to audi-sort.net. Awesome car. You enjoy to the max. :)

So I found some rotors now 20x9 offset 25! Extra concave replicas from Italy which should be decent quality.

My question now are for the tyres. I know recommended is 265/30/20 but would 255s be ok? Massive price difference between the two.

Thanks in advance :)

Nice! I tend to avoid replicas, but up to you!

I personally wouldn't go 255/30. The ride will be worse and you don't get the rim protection on the tyre that you definitely want with diamond cut rotors!!!

Would love originals but I'm thinking about just buying a cheaper option now as the summer season is almost over here in Sweden and then buy OEMs and switch this other set I'll have now into my winter setup

I'll go for the 265s then will dig a bit deeper into my savings haha :)

It's only money, AJ, and it's for a good cause.

Looks awesom! Stock S-line height or lowered anything?

? mine ?
Factory fitted S line sports suspension and Black kit, and rear tints not sure if they were factory though ? so no chrome except decals which are in the process of being removed for black

Alright, I think I'll go 35mm h&r instead of keeping my sports suspension from factory because now there is still a rather big wheel gap :) will keep the chrome though this time around but will definitely tint my windows. Yours look great

Before I buy lowering springs from H&R does anyone know if the a5 is lowered from
factory when it comes with the sport chassis?

I have 2 years of warranty left so I'm a bit hesitant of installing h&r springs if that would void any warranty left if a stock shock gives up etc and was thinking of going to my dealership to buy their s-line springs instead and have it on paper that it wouldn't do anything with my warranty.

I could ask if I would to get bilstein shocks with the lowering springs how that would work as well to be fair.

Any pics with 20" wheels on a SB s-line vs sport suspension from factory?

Have a great weekend
