So I'm beginning my TTE420 build on my 2011 Audi S3 8P

Hardware needed:
Runner Flap Delete (Ordered)
LPFP In tank A35HV (Ordered) Possibly change to TSI Basket to make it fit
RS4 Return Fuel Valve (Ordered)
RS3 Injectors
TTE420

I'm aware just chaging the LPFP can have issues on hard cornering and causing issues with the controller but the car won't be track driven and also using Rick's @ UnicornMotorDevelopments custom mapping and I believe he's managed to map cars in with no need for the external Torqbyte controller but may be wrong?

Any other suggestions or hardware people would recommend for going TTE420 build?

I think for what you have in mind,Rick is the man to see.

You aren't looking for a whole BT conversion and all the baggage that goes with that, and your list will work fine, assuming you've already done the brakes and suspension.

Yea I beleive he will fit my needs best, I won't be using him directly but using a garage in Northumberland called ECM Tech who are a dealer of Rick / Unicorn Motorsport Developments since it's far closer to me up in Scotland.

Basically aiming to get the most out of standard internals and gearbox so TTE420 is best for my goals

Suspension yea, brakes... kinda. Just threw on some better brake pads and drilled and grooved discs

You will need those!

You won't have any problems with engine internals on that turbo, and it will make a big difference to the way the car feels.

I may look into brakes but tbh I won't track the car and with switchable maps will be running lower power going to and from work 90% of the time. Mainly just 1/4 mile the brakes will have a "hard time" so to speak.

Yea I'm not going to the extent of Liam with his 530bhp S3 that's for sure haha. I loved his car when it was running the TTE420 and scary to see the cars it was beating down the quarter mile. DSG obviously playing a big part

I'm looking to get beyond 550bhp shortly and also get the DSG conversion done.

Do look into the brake aspect as you may be surprised.
I found the brakes pretty marginal at Stg2+ but maybe I use them a bit harder.

Switchable maps are very useful.
My clutch has finally had enough after 4yrs and over 450lbs daily and I can't tell you how bad 1bar feels. Lol

From what I've read, fuel return valve requirement will depend on the map. I think I remember Rick saying that a RS4 valve is fine on his maps.
I'm not sure that RS3 injectors are needed with this turbo too.

Sent from a mobile device, please forgive typos :)

Think the RS4 valve is 135bar, need a 155 bar valve for TTE420. 160 from PSI tuning

I'd be surprised.....RS4 valve was fine on mine with a bigger turbo than the TTE420.

It's a balance between pressure and injector size. The later is always preferable

Rick
Im using your dealer in or near Northumberland so as long as you think the above is a good balance then im all set haha. May PM you about something ive seen but not sure if you've ever experimented with mapping wise
